I just did an alphabetical sort and let Excel allocate the colours.
I guess that's an acceptable excuse for me not being the glorious crimson red of the proletarian workers' revolution. Just, you know, look out for it in the future, bourgeois lady. 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I've often considered chemistry to be the only foreign language that I've ever been able to learn.
That reminds me of a scene from Bromwell High... If I recall, one character asks "what's our next class?" and another one reads a poem about how it speaks word that one does not comprehend, or something, the first character asks "French?" and the other one says "math" (or another science. I can't remember exactly).

Anyone else know the scene I'm referring to?
I don't know that show, but it does certainly ring true with many sciences. Even within biology, experts in different species of bacteria have a hard time communicating because the naming conventions are so different. It's rather ridiculous, actually.
I remember an argument I had once with Seamus, because he was talking about how amazed he was at my ability to speak foreign languages, and I pointed it that he knew way more languages than I did, just formal ones.
When you think about it, they have their own vocabulary, their own syntax, etc. I believe the only reason I can't learn them is that they make too much sense, being formal and all, and what I like most about languages is the parts that do not make sense at all.
Yeah...I think I know what you mean. I always try to come up with a few basic rules to guide learning any new set of vocabulary that I come across. Which happens more often than you'd suspect. Perhaps this is one of the reasons I have such a hard time with foreign languages...
No wonder this thread is so difficult to keep up with.
[GRAPH]
Also, I like graphs.
That is also amazing!
Oh, and lately I've stopped clicking "last page" or the "last post" button in the forum index. Instead, I've been clicking on the first page, then clicking "view last unread" at the top. So much better than scrolling back through the four pages I missed today.
I reckon close to half the posts in this thread are made by the same dozen or so users... I can't get stats for Guru and Fawful because search will only return a maximum of 500 results, and they both have more than that.

I just checked that out. Officially, my new favorite navigation button.

You can click the blue square with an arrow in it next to the thread title to go directly to the first unread post. I've been doing it for months.
I just have "User CP" set as my bookmark. First thing I see is all the threads I've posted in and subscribed to and I just click the button that takes me to the current post. I've been doing that the entire time.
....or is it? Try it and I'm sure you'll be surprised! But I totally plan to sleep. Eventually.
Actually, I'm sure it would be fine, just really uncomfortable. In any event, I would most certainly be surprised by the nice red hue of my corneas in the morning.

Glad I'm not the only one.
This thread is like cheap British sausages these days: might contain a little meat, but mostly made up of fat, connective tissue and rusk.
Beautiful analogy. Also, I had no idea rusk was a word. Also, I may one day overtake your post count. Discuss.
Im hungry.
And I'm Sara, pleased to meet you.
I like to think of myself as the connective tissue.
Really? I like to think of myself as a superhero. To each her own I guess!
The difference is probably that I'm a biochemistry major. I used to like to think of myself as a lysosome in high school, but I've since upgraded.
You know, you think you've got a good grasp of English, and then Alcoremortis starts talking and you reconsider.

I was saving it special.
That. Is. Amazing.

It's definitely very practical.
Three 'p's.
Does that make it two-upped? Or...one-and-a-half upped?
Yes.
I've been doing that too. Though I sometimes miss it and click the user name underneath it instead.

Put that at the end of the hyperlink of the vid and it will be in 1911
I use an R4... don't know if it's the best but it's always worked for me. Played several different Scumm games on it...
Oh, I wish that were true....
I'm always doing that... I figure soon people will think i'm stalking them cos I appear to be constantly visiting their profiles...
Except those miles are measured out in lines of text for me. I'm going to be so happy once this midterm is over.
Studying will do you no good without sleep, you know.
Sleep will come...in about forty minutes. Whether I want it to or not.
You see, tragedy upon tragedy, I ran out of toothpicks. T_T
EGADS! Well, I've run out of coffee, so I have the same problem.
It looks like the Universe is trying to say: Go to Sleeeeeeep.
Just like that.
I plan on obeying very shortly, right after I remove my contacts. Sleeping with contacts in is a big no-no.
