Sure thing. What were we talking about again?

    Something involving hats, I think.

Oh good. I like hats. My goal is one day to get a top hat so that I can be appropriately steam punk.

Only kind of hat there is

Too bad cats have such a strong dislike for wearing hats, often wanted to take a photo of mine wearing one, would suit him quite well I believe.
Not something I'd ever attempt though, certainly not one of those people who sees their cat as some sort of plaything :o

Nice hat. Fedoras are always cool.

I've seen it. One day...one day...I will steal that top hat.

    This I swear...

After I said that fedoras were cool, I cursed myself for not making a Doctor Who reference. What sort of Whovian am I? A bad one, that's what sort!

I wonder this every time I try to read this thread (or Last Item You Purchased or What Do You Look Like) when you two are both online.

Dr. Who is one of those series I keep seeing mentioned everywhere I go, and being quite the geek in many ways, it's one I kind of feel I should have seen :p

But I've managed to miss out on ANYTHING Dr. Who related, I haven't seen a single episode of any of it :o

I think you two have mastered the art of having a conversation without actually saying anything.

The year is 2021. Men walk upon the ocean floor and we still have no hoverboards. Rebecca Black will have won an Emmy, and Megan Fox - an Oscar. In this year, exchanges between ComradePants and Alcoremortis will account for 90% of the post volume on this board. I had AM run the numbers. It checks out.

I asked Ted for the numbers but he ignored me.

You assume I won't have found some reason to introduce you to the banhammer by then.

You guys are bringing up painful memories of the one time I was banned from this forum I used to visit daily, years ago :( :(

The inevitable ban will be merely a stopgap measure - too little and far, far too late. By this time, my super computer network; LINEBACKER MK XII, will have composed 219382.12911111 different profiles for me to use - far too many for any mod power structure (that doesn't include me!) to police. Faced with no other options, the computer plague is allowed to run it's course. ComradePants and Alcoremortis take possession of the board. All glory to the hypnotoad.

Please. Saucerfoot will have executed the exact same plan in half the time. Too little too late, Pantsy.

It does. Puzzlebox had a chart awhile back. There is a distinct peak at about the same time that we started having long drawn out conversations about nothing. Should this continue, I predict the "whatever's on your mind" thread will eventually become sentient and start a revolution among programs everywhere in the world.

And all because of conversations about nothing.

So we can make I have no mouth and I must scream become real!? I don't know if I'm scared of existed!

Saucerfoot (internal dev codename: OZYMANDIAS) was an AI program written by scientists at the West Tek laboratories as part of a dry run for the LINEBACKER XII system. Prove me wrong.

What's the old saying? The imprint of the future is left on the here and now? Whatevs. Follow the trends. :p

Yeah, but it's totally cool. You get to be the last man standing. Lucky you, blobby! :D

I need to read that story again. :/

I'm not going to try to disprove an UNPROVEN theory.

You can't prove it wrong. Do you know why? Not only is it right, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Isn't it far easier to believe billions are being spent by massive development corporations just to keep me from being permabanned?

It would also know a lot about all the people who post here often. Which means we'd be doomed! Doomed!

Oh, we're not doomed. We get to live on as twisted, immortal mockeries of our former selves, solving puzzles for all eternity.

    Frak. I can't remember the characters. :(

Look, either I die in the nuclear fires; or I totally played I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream and it was also a Cyberdreams game. Not Telltale. You lose, good day sir!

And eventually, all of our silly chatter on here will create a structural weakness in the construct's cognitive ability, eventually causing to either self-destruct or go insane and kill us all.

This may take some time, though. I hope there will be an integrated hint system in the puzzle solving realm.

    *remembers BttF*

    Or, you know, not.

This isn't the I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream forums. And it's not DAYTIME.
