Why, why are there no images that properly express my disdain for Doctor Who?
Because disdain for Doctor Who is such a foreign concept that human minds are simply not equipped to deal with it. It would be like trying to create a visual representation of a 6-dimensional figure, or dark matter, or a puppy that isn't cute.
And I maintain that you are saying that because he just flaunted his Portal 2 status at you.
Oh, no, there was a kerfuffle over this quite some time ago. It took him a while to forgive me for it. Ask him. Besides, I've already agreed to do a favor for him in spite of his flaunting Portal 2 at me, so I'm over it.

You seem awfully eager to start another "kerfuffle".
To be fair, it's entirely possible that the only reason I don't have an interest in Discworld is that I never heard of it before these forums, and since it was something I didn't know, I've never looked into the discussion on it, and thus never had a spark from which to grow interest. Same reason I don't have any interest in King's Quest.

I suppose that's more understandable. I guess I don't need to find out where you live after all.
But seriously, you should try at least one book. You'll be missing out on a great thing otherwise. I should know. I spent four years dodging my friends trying to foist those books on me only to read one by accident in the end and love it.
I suggest Good Omens. Actually, that one's not Discworld per se... but close enough.
Well, several thousand miles are probably the greater hurdle.
Well, there's always the off chance that I manage to pull off going to PAX this year, unless you're not going this year. But yes, I doubt you have arms several thousand miles long. I think I would've heard about that.

Well, I'll certainly keep an open mind. Now it's just a question of availability.
But not liking Discworld! That's like not liking having a functional spinal cord! Or hating being able to eat solid foods!
It is here that I should mention that my spinal cord is not, in fact, fully functional and I am very, very cross with you Alcoremortis. Please see an Anger and Reprisals specialist and fill out self discipline form 2257-A. Thank you.

I'd suggest the first Watch novel (Guards! Guards!), or maybe Going Postal. Eh, I'm sure "best first Discworld novel" was probably covered in one of the Discworld/Pratchett threads.

I don't even know what continent I'll be on come August. I also don't know many people going this year, which decreases the chances that I'll make the effort, but I already reserved a room and will get a ticket just in case.

Ah, but here we go. You would like a functioning spinal cord, would you not? I was implying that Guru would be perfectly happy to trade since he had no appreciation for the finer things in life.
But then he had to go and be all accepting that there might be something to all my Discworld hype, so I guess I have to take back that offer. Sorry.

Thats good to hear.
Perhaps you need to get out a bit, maybe interact with some people you know. Too much time along can often be a harmful thing.
But, for all I know, this couldn't be the problem at all.
Because no one else on the internet agrees with your disdain for Doctor Who. Or at least, not enough to bother making an image.
Kinda sad, actually...
Wait, that gives me an idea...
Oh no...
Ideas are bad, Guru! Gaston says so!
easy there .......

Pretty sure you are, dude. Kinda lonely being a Who hater, huh?
 Impeach Guru!!
Makes you feel sorry for him, doesn't it?
I share that concept with you so Guru is still the loneliest member.
Quick, someone name something else popular that I probably hate.
I maintain that you are only saying that because Pants isn't online right now.

Living?
Star Wars.
Lord of the Rings.
The Simpsons.
Pirates of the Caribbean.
Star Trek.
Oxygen.
That gets a lot of hate now from people who hate the new episodes.

No, I have no problem with any of those things. You fail.
You seem awfully eager to start another "kerfuffle".
I've got my eye on you...
The Transformer movies.
Rap music.
Poverty. (Oh wait, that's not popular; just common.)
Fox News & CNN.
American grossout comedies.
star wars is on top of star trek where it belongs.
And above of oxygen, where it belongs.
Oh, I know! I don't have any interest in Terry Pratchett or Discworld!
You take that back! Take it back, now!
Vetinari demands it!
Eh...who cares about that.
But not liking Discworld! That's like not liking having a functional spinal cord! Or hating being able to eat solid foods!
My father said the same thing to me yesterday. Emancipation proceedings are in progress.
Aww, guess I can forget that hug, then.

I'll lend you my library card and you can read the eBook version from my library if that's what it takes!

You are all kinds of evil!
