Uncharted is great, superb even. The sequel blows it out of the water. I expect the world to implode with the release of the third entry.

I will hunt you down and make you sorry you ever laid eyes on me.

I could never be sorry about that, my darling. Ohhh....((blush))

Been looking through my Photobucket album and found a screenshot I took from an episode of the original Star Trek series long ago... Kirk is in some cave and picks up a rock to fight some monster (been so long, can't remember the details).
I admit it was pretty juvenile of me to notice and even take a screenshot of this, but come on... why would they shape the rock like that :o

Dad accidentally called me by the dog's name today. Good to know where I stand in the family.

The fact that he seems to be keeping a straight face marks him out as a fine actor indeed.

You read a nursery rhyme about what happens to people if they rat their friends out.

Pretty vicious for elementary students really.

I NEED BTTF EPISODE 5 TO COME OUT SO I CAN PLAY THEM ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!

Have a look for the original version of sleeping beauty. I read it a long time ago, but as I recall, it goes something like this:

Underage girl gets flax caught in her fingernail. This poisons her and puts her unconscious. A king is riding through and spots her, and rapes her, then rides off. 9 months later, she is still unconscious, and almost dying, when she gives birth to two babies. They don't have anyone to look after them so begin to starve until eventually sucking the flax out of the girl's fingernail, bringing her back to consciousness but killing the baby. The king then rides through and rapes her again (can't remember why.) but the queen finds out what her husband has been doing, and finds the little girl and steals the babies away. She then cooks the babies and feeds them to the king as a meal (he thinks he's eating something else). She then stands up and says "you are eating what is your own!" and that's the end of the story.

Kids story. Honestly. Look it up.

A few other fairy tales are the same. Whenever something happens by magic, that means the original reason was edited out for being truly grotesque, but sleeping beauty won the contest outright for me. :)

You want to play it all the way through? I'm still trying to work up the motivation to play through the remaining 90% of Episode 3. I've completed Episodes 1 and 2, and I must say that I've never played a more dull adventure game in my life, unfortunately.

But hey, every man to his own, I guess.

I'm unsure how I should be feeling. I've had no lessons between 10.30 and 2 (as is usual on a tuesday), So i've just been bumming around college for that time (listening to an audio play and playing on my ipod). I came to the lesson, where I was told that I'd gotten all the criteria on the assignment, so I didn't actually need to come to this lesson. But I have a lesson at 4pm, so I still can't go home. 5.5hrs of doing nothing! Gah.

Oh well, at least there's a java update available.

I know how you feel, I'm having to force myself to play through them too. I managed to work my way through episodes 1-3 but now I've got 4 sat on my desktop and I'm just not arsed.

I'm supposed to drop off a paper to my professor today but I can't do so until 6pm. I needed to get a ride from one of parents because my car's in shop. My dad only agreed to drive me if I woke up at 5am this morning so he could drop me off and not be late for work.

I've been at this Starbucks for the past four hours. I think the employees are becoming suspicious.

Yep, that's basically been me upon the release of each episode. It's not as though the game is too hard to work through (I like games like that). In this case, everything's far too easy, unchallenging and predictable. I'm just going through the motions, solving the easiest 'puzzles' I've ever encountered, with the most stupidly obvious solutions I've ever come across (must everything be spelled out to me?). So, that automatically makes the puzzle solving (the thing that adventure games are centered around) completely unrewarding. I mean, I could always just play the game for the sake of enjoying the character dialogue and Marty's commentary, but neither of those are entertaining in the slightest. There is seriously nothing that makes me want to play these games; they're just... flavourless.

At least you guys made it through multiple eps... I played the first, downloaded the second (never installed it), and promptly said "nope.avi".

I feel terrible about it, as Telltale were clearly excited about BTTF, and Christopher effin' Lloyd is in it, but it's just not good. I know I shouldn't judge it on one episode, but when people say Get Tannen is just as dull, I have a very hard time motivating myself to play it.

Someday, when I do get around to it, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

In fairness, episode 3 was an improvement on the first two but I'd still say that it's a very mediocre game. Dreamfall was equally lame when it came to none-puzzles, if not worse but that game had a wonderful story and dialogue, which kept me involved until the end. Back to the Future; not so much.

Of course, it's not that the story and dialogue is bad per say but it's also nothing exceptional either and therefore it feels more like your playing Back to the Future: The Cartoon: The Game, as opposed to Back to the Future IV. Some of the more outlandish and silly concepts, such as the rocket powered drill do nothing to help lose this feeling.

Having said that, the voice acting from Lloyd as Doc and LoCascio as Marty is superb, Kid Beyond as Biff is pretty bad though but the others are acceptable enough. The problem is I don't spend my time watching the BttF cartoons so I don't enjoy playing what feels like one either. The creative talent was there to give us the equivalent of a 4th movie but I feel that it wasn't to be.

Who knows though, maybe the last two episodes are fantastic, I guess I'll find out some rainy Sunday afternoon.

P.S. Sorry for posting my mini-review review here but I'm not particularly keen on posting it under the BttF section for fear of being lynched by rabid BttF fanboys. Besides, it's what was on my mind.

Why can't I stop playing Civilization? I stand little to no chance of winning, my people hate me, and now all my neighbouring countries have nukes, So I can't bully them too much. Just... one... more... turn!

they made a game where a whole country can dislike you? I'm not sure my delicate ego could withstand that.

I think they didn't like the fact that got bored and ordered my musketmen to burn a few of my fields down. And they didn't like the fact I crushed their rebellion. Meh, they're all puny peasants anyway. BOW BEFORE MY ALMIGHTY NUKE. Wait, what do you mean arabia has sent a rocket to the moon?

I've just discovered the joys of using the steam browser in-game. Fun.

Double Visions is actually a lot better then the previous three BTTF episodes. Although that is admittedly not saying a whole lot.

well the next one's not going to be all that great. The fourth episode is always better

Spent most of today working on setting stuff for D&D. I have made an epic player vs. Aspect of Bahamut/Aspect of Tiamat tag team of pain. It will be so many kinds of awesome, or at least, I hope so.
