I guess they'll want to keep it impartial though, because if they do not, any reasonable user will go elsewhere.
In unrelated news, oh god. I don't want to go back to hospital
Im pissed right now! I found out as a spoiler on the taped edition of WWE Smackdwon that
Christian has lost the world title to that asshole Randy Orton Christian only held the title for 2 days I was sooo happy that he was champ I even got his autograph online now I feel pissed as hell!
Still need to get dosbox working tomorrow.
And I also need to get another hard-drive in there so I can add a few more things to it.
(That, and I still haven't looked around for another graphics card to stick in there thats better than that 64mb one in there)
Phew! Been quite a day, but the improvements I've made have been very worth it!
Its been about two years since the thing had any work on it according to the files,
but since I've had it, I added a whole load of stuff, software wise.
Lets see.
It originally had
Mame (0.8 something, but its too much effort and little reward to upgrade it so I'm keeping as is for the moment)
Megadrive (with a handful of games)
Super Nintendo (handful of games)
Stuff done to it since:
More Megadrive games added
More Snes games added
Added N64 emulator
Added Playstation emulator
Added Nes emulator (still could do with tweaking as buttons bring up annoying savestate select menu but still playable)
Added ZiNc for a bit better compatibility for PSX hardware based Mame stuff (tempted to remove completely and just replace those games with their PSX versions)
Added PC games (only a handful, since I don't own many that are arcadey perse)
Added Jukebox (currently linked to a network drive, but
Added about 5 (average) unique mp3 to Nes, Snes, Megadrive, PSX, N64, and Mame sections that play during selection
Themes compeltely redone.
Found a nice set for Nes, Snes, Megadrive and Mame, but then I customised and made my own N64 and Playstation themes. (and learned a bit of Gimp functions in the process! )
Still left to do:
- Fix Dos
- Fix CPS3 (May do a custom theme just for this. A street fighter 3 one would be quite splended! )
- Resort and rename Nes roms, as I had a lot of repeats and the most names are barely readable.
-Build/find snapshots to fill in the gaps
-keep the instruction video (as its quite helpful to anyone just walking in and the switching and menu thing isn't obvious to everyone)
-Change slideshow pictures. (Its a nice add, but the pics are so low res they detract from the rest of the work I've done, so I'll get some nice piccies of google to replace them)
- Find a new hard-drive to put in there (got plenty of old ones lying around, just need to look through them, format one, then see if it can be stuck in).
- Look for a better graphics card. There should be one lying around in the loft somewhere. If not buy a cheap 256mb one. (Nvidia 6 or 7 would do nicely)
Once thats all done, I can maybe think more on a possible redesign on the cabinet itself
(lots of stuff to do there, but its very do-able and its mostly cosmetics)
Working out the cosmology of my homebrew setting. Should have done this earlier, but it wasn't an issue until plane hopping was going to come up, which it is now.
I nearly attempted to take a picture of it a couple days ago, but never did, so no before pictures exist. And I'll be damned if I let any after pictures come into existence.
That picture I posted a few days ago? That was from four years ago. My hair wasn't nearly as long this morning as it was back then. There is literally not a single photograph of me taken in the last month where you can see my hair. I'd say there's not a single photograph of me period, but I'm counting these ones:
See if you can figure out what my hair looked like from those.
I hate working at Target...I hate it...I get to look at video games...and that's it...being overnight sucks, I want to be back here late at night. I want to play my video games...I miss things...that and I don't get to spend that much time with the girlfriend anymore...it's just GAH! Wow...sorrry...didn't mean to unload...and yeah...I'm still alive.

Working at stores like that sucks, especially night shift. If you're on stock I bet you're busier than a rabbit in spring.
Thinking of recording a longplay again for the first time in over a year... found a game that I don't think is on Youtube already, only small clips... and it just so happens to be related to some games I really love.
Will be cool to get this one done.
EDIT - yeah, working at any kind of store in a position like that really sucks.
I used to work in a large convenience store for a while, just stacking shelves and stuff like that... every day seemed like an eternity, I've never been more bored in my life.
They should have robots for crap like that by now
Someone should photoshop that and have the baby dropped in the bin in the last picture there, would've seemed like more of a coherent 'storyline' then
During the credits, a name caught my eye: Drew Karpyshyn, Lead Writer
...hmm. I know that name. Where do I know that from?
*googled it*
Oh! He wrote one of my favorite book series. The Darth Bane series of Star Wars books.
Apparently, he's also the lead writer for KOTOR, as well as the author of all the Mass Effect novels. Maybe I should look into buying them.
I really dig the Darth Bane books too. If you've never played KOTOR I'd definitely recommend that, although the character interaction may seem a little lacking after playing Mass Effect. I read the first Mass Effect book a while back--it was decent, but I can't say it's half as memorable as Darth Bane.
So... I found out that I'll actually be awake for the second half of the surgery with strings sticking out of the muscles in my eyes. The doctor will pull at them and move them WHILE I AM AWAKE to readjust my eye into it's socket.

Nah. I'mma go to Skype with the people I feel like talking to. Anyone want to Skype with Comrade Pants? I think I might bow out for a time.

(Well once I put another hard-drive in there, it will be a pernament jukebox. but for the moment this will do)
In other news, Nintendo just bought ign.
In unrelated news, oh god. I don't want to go back to hospital
With that additude, this thread might stop YOU from existing. Be happy, be free!
STILL looks more sophisticated than the last one.

PC MAINFRAME - CRITICAL FAILURE!!!
HEEEELLLLLLLLLLP!
you calling this guy unsophisticated?
DOUCHEBAG.
Yes, and I live in the reddest state in the union.
I think the new Red Faction: Armageddon looks really nice, going to pre-order it on Steam and get Red Faction: Guerrilla free.
Had a big argument that made me doubt my personality again, I don't like how that seems to become a habit.
We want before/after pictures. :P

Or maybe that'd be a bit too macabre.

I'm interested in Mass Effect, but definitly not in the novelizations.
...but my, if that cover isn't painted by one of my favourite artists, John Jude Palencar.
