    Good evening folks!

About the best ad ever, mentioned earlier. Sorry but this is the best ad ever.

I realised a downside of France: I forgot that bread goes bad if you don't eat it the day you bought it.

Good: higher-ups seeing you in the office on a Saturday.

Less good: higher-ups seeing you all greasy and unshowered because you assumed there wouldn't be anyone else in the office.

Yay, rapture today! Although my puppy doesn't seem overly fussed about it.

Just popped in to say it's a few hours past 6pm and Australia is still here... though I guess really I only know for sure I'm still here since I'm home alone... hmmm...

No need to worry, God's skipping Australia. He was quoted as saying "Ehhh, do I really want to go ALL THE WAY around the world? I made that thing far too big, didn't I? Think I'll just hit the northern hemisphere, see how it goes, then pick up the rest some other time."

Yeah, he figured that Australia is already hell-like as it is, so he's leaving you guys be for the time being.

If your parent's made a robot with an advance AI that it could be human would you consider the robot to be your brother/sister?

Only if it served me refreshments on command.

If they did that, I'd be utterly gobsmacked. My mother destroyed three keyboards trying to "clean" them, and my father, after finding and getting in contact with me, had my half-brother "make one of those e-mail accounts" for him. :P

Is it sad that my first thought was: "is it hot?"

I suppose though that means my answer is no.

    Has anyone tried Rift?

Its currently on offer on Green Man Gaming.

It looks quite interesting, and I haven't played a proper MMO.
(Unless you count Diablo 2 that is! :D)

Actually, what games do people play here? (Barring Team Fortress 2...)
I need to play some more multiplayer stuff in general.

I play altitude and minecraft, and occasionally I get back into Perfect World and City of Heroes.

I haven't played it, but a friend does and she described is as "better then WoW." But then she has described many games as being better then WoW, and guess what game she always ends up back on?

As for what games I play, I'm currently not playing anything MMO... the only thing I've done lately at all online has been Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, which is loads of fun.

So far I love The Voice as much as, if not more than, the original. Seriously, Ben Saunders? Don't make me laugh. The American edition has tons of more talent.

Although I do have to say Ben Saunders does have something that the contestants of the American version still have to show, and that is appeal. And charisma. From the very first day, Ben Saunders has marked his territory.

Even before the Battle round, his popularity rose above the others. He was already a BNer (famous Dutch person / 'bekende Nederlander') and by the time the live rounds had started, the battle was already won by him. Now I do have to say everybody in The Voice (American edition) has a lot of talent, probably more than Ben Saunders, but what they have in talent they might lack in charisma, and perhaps a bit of attitude also.

Seriously, I don't know, I also don't live in the USA, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone of the American edition really stood out above the other. And to stand out is not to just have a beatiful voice or lots of talent. It's that something extra. I mean, Ben Saunders had a lot of talent, but talent alone didn't win him the title of the Voice of Holland.

    EDIT:

In comparison, Ben Saunders had three of the four coaches turn around in the first three seconds he sang. Javier Colon, I think the only one out of all contestants who had all four coaches turn the chair, had the first two coaches turn around only after a half minute.

    BEN. FREAKING. SAUNDERS.

    JAVIER. FREAKING. COLON.

I'll make something simple yet interesting.

Try to make them think you've been working since Friday solid. "Oh, is it Saturday already?"

In other news, the Earth is still here. Guess I'll have to mow the lawn after all. And hope the grass doesn't have its own angry deity.

Well, not too hell-like, but on Friday we had a mini tornado... our house was out of reach but we got torrents of rain - I had to go home and change after taking the work kids to school because I was so soaked... Also, you had to post what?

I desperately need to just bypass Sunday and skip straight to Monday. Can I do that? The alternative is moving a couple tons of flagstone.
