I don't think you can prove anything.
As a woman of science, I believe she's in the IDEAL position to prove a lot of things.

All right, two links "user removed content" and one "not available in Germany due to copyrighted music". That should get you a ban or something. :D

In other news, they just found a 125kg WWII aircraft bomb in my neighborhood. Wonderful. The entire area gets evacuated in a 300 meter radius, 4000 people, on Monday evening so they can defuse it. That means that I can't go home after work, for ca. 6 hours. On a MONDAY. Rats. I'm lucky if I can get home by midnight.

Well, at least that finally gets your mother and father off the hook. Especially since they're Chinese.

Was just watchin' Obama's conference on the national debt. Sorry to get too political, and feel free to PM me instead of posting here if you're feeling argumentative on the subject, but I wish anyone ever could explain to me how the Republicans in Congress are working in our best interests in regards to this national debt issue.

Oh wait, I didn't perform my daily "Whatever" thread tag deletion. All right, let's take one of Fawful's today... oh wait, no tags by Fawful. I think the correctly spelled phrase for this situation is "I am disappoint". See, I get it!?! No Triesinvainamoinen today!

Based on today's Google doodle, I was doing a bit of research on Alexander Calder, known for his kinetic sculptures, and found this quote that I think doodo! would especially like:

    "How can art be realized?

Out of volumes, motion, spaces bounded by the great space, the universe.

Out of different masses, tight, heavy, middling—indicated by variations of size or color—directional line—vectors which represent speeds, velocities, accelerations, forces, etc. . . .—these directions making between them meaningful angles, and senses, together defining one big conclusion or many.

Spaces, volumes, suggested by the smallest means in contrast to their mass, or even including them, juxtaposed, pierced by vectors, crossed by speeds.

Nothing at all of this is fixed.

Each element able to move, to stir, to oscillate, to come and go in its relationships with the other elements in its universe.

It must not be just a fleeting moment but a physical bond between the varying events in life.

    Not extractions,

    But abstractions

Abstractions that are like nothing in life except in their manner of reacting."[18]

    - Alexander Calder
    - From Abstraction-Création, Art Non Figuratif, no. 1, 1932.

Nah. I read/mock/read mocks of horrible, gut-wrenching fanfiction, listen to Bad Lip Reading, and play Xbox.

That's...basically all I do anymore. It gets boring.

"The Luck of the Fryrish" is such an amazing Futurama episode.
  • edited July 2011
I place it after "Devil's Hands" and "Jurassic Bark", personally.
  • edited July 2011
Fryrish is actually my favorite Futurama episode, but I'm not sure why. I guess I'm a sucker for sentimental family stories, but the ending to it with that song always gets me.

    Don't you
    Forget about me
    Don't

I went with my sister to her ultrasound today. After being ushered out of the room, and having to wait in the hall for a good 40 minutes(lack of space), they called me in. I found out my sister's baby is a girl, and she's decided to name her Shaye. I got a chance to see little Shaye on the ultrasound screen, and so far she's a healthy bouncy little thing. I'm not really into kids that much, but I'm so happy for my sister. Looking forward to December.

No, you don't understand the concept.

The 27 club is a term used to describe a group of musicians who all coincidentally died at the age of 27. Notable Members include:
    • Brian Jones- Founder of the Rolling Stones
    • Jimi Hendrix
    • Janis Joplin
    • Jim Morrison- Singer for The Doors
    • Kurt Cobain

Was that Amy Winehouse who died? I think I saw something on the news, but wasn't paying attention.
  • edited July 2011
Someone who became famous by singing about not wanting to go to drug rehab died early?

    Color me shocked!

Everyone on my Facebook feed is RIP-ing Amy Winehouse with nary a mention of what happened in Norway. Sigh.
