So I put off updating Firefox to 8.0 because my favorite extension said it was incompatible. However, I decided to go through with it since this was the only extension on the list and the comments for it said that it still worked in Firefox 8, even though it said it wouldn't. So I updated.

Half of my extensions were disabled because Firefox 8 didn't like them. I downgraded back to 7.0.1. I'll give it a few days and see if my extensions start updating.

I don't want to hear one word about how I should switch to Chrome.

Enormous protest at my school right now. I don't know if I'll be able to even get to my classes tomorrow. There's about a thousand people between me and the building I need to get to as of now and that number will likely only increase.

Don't you attend Berkeley? Long tradition of protest there.

I just saw a Facebook friend of mine spell 'multiplayer' as 'malty player' whilst discussing 'Modern Warfare 3'. And this wasn't even a joke; this was an honest mistake...

I just bought Dark Cloud and Tekken Tag Tournament for the ps2.
    And Tekken Tag doesn't work...

GODDAMN BLUE DISC! They run at like 1/2 speed on my 60gb PS3.

    :(

I would be rather terrified if I came home and found someone in my bed.

Hmm, depends who it is... ;) Hehe, but really I'd be freaked out if it was a total stranger...

Does anyone have any idea how I can become an art tutor for grade school kids without becoming an art teacher?

Because where I live, in order to teach, you need to have a Masters degree at minimum, and I don't want to waste money studying in a field I have no passion for.

Yup. And I'm wondering how I'll be able to get to class today. This protest is the biggest one since my sophomore year. And it's the one that also doesn't really affect me, since I'll be graduating soon. Though, I didn't really care about any of the others because...well...science major. They don't let you out of class to go picket anymore.

Well that's why you walk out. Erm, if you believe in the protest in the first place.

Hey guys! So my laptop most likely can't be fixed, so Im searching for a new, more powerful one(Yes I understand that a desktop is better, I just like portability more). So my question is for you computer smarties out here. Is an Acer Aspire AS7750G-9411 laptop a good laptop for gaming?
Or perhaps know of a decent gaming laptop? Not after anything fancy.
EDIT:Maybe not the type I just posted, the type was different then I thought, but is there anything like that that is any good?

I got cheered in class today for winning a battle of wits with my professor. I feel like Professor Layton right now.

Edit: the debate topic was why a nonrenewable resource mine in an unstable country could incite civil war.

I'm glad I don't have an app like this. We don't need to see what's really on my mind in this thread.

I believe in the protest...but I also believe in not sacrificing my future career for it. It's a tricky balancing act.

Understood. My undergrad I wouldn't have cared if I remember right, but everything afterward has been slightly more important.

Oh well, the best way to start for grade school kids would be through contacts, that is either parents or daycare or schools themselves. (Know a teacher?) You may have to be an unpaid volunteer to start. Depending on where you live, there may be restrictions in the name of "protecting the children."

What you need to do is make up a big sign that says, "We Demand Tales Of Monkey Island Season 2" or something like that, and have someone get a picture of you standing in front of the crowd with that sign.

Aww! I wish I'd thought of that or you'd told me sooner. There was a huge crowd last night. Sadly, it isn't as big anymore. But if it gets to be big enough, and I remember, I'll totally try and do that. Maybe.

When the next batman movie comes out the WB logo should be flipped to a BW one and say Bruce Wayne Pictures.

So I've been in a shitty mood for the last few weeks and well...and my sister cheered me up today. She came home from work and was in a pissy mood so...I just went along with thinking...yeah whatever..then she started yelling at me because I was leaving Trash in the car..and then " How the hell could I have left trash in the car? I went to work came home and went to bed." Then she pulled out a receipt and it was a fully paid off pre-order for Skyrim..this made my night.

...uhm... I was talking about TEACHING. I have no passion for teaching, but at this point, I need to do something with my art education, and the only thing left that I haven't tried is tutoring.
