Intended to spend the night working on sprites. Ended up spending the night hacking up one of the Bioshock Infinite alternate covers in Photoshop. Not only do the things print off too big for the case at 100% scaling, but if you scale them down properly lengthwise, they're still too tall for the case, so I had to remove the Irrational and 2K logos and use the wallpaper version to cover the holes so I could crop the thing shorter.
Not bad, considering that the colors were a bit different on the wallpaper version and I'm total crap at Photoshop.
Edit: Printed it, put it in the case, thought it looked off. Compared it to the original and scaled versions I printed from the PDF with no editing. Somewhere, I lost a ton of detail. The Photoshopped copy doesn't look nearly as clean.
Edit 2: Glad I saved it after I removed the logos and before I did any cropping or resizing. I was able to open the saved one, crop it to the same ratio, and print it to the size I wanted without resizing the image. It came out much cleaner. Now it's just too bad that the only Legal sized paper I was able to get wasn't glossy at all.
another job interview today. I hope this actually means I GET the job this time if I get it.This one's for a consulting position at the IBJ (International Bank of Japan).
Got plans in place for a university scouting trip down in London. Travel by coach, stay with my brother and check out three universities over five days. Also time to have a good talk with my brother about if we can even afford to live together in a decent sized place.
We're taking a trip up to Nottingham next week for one of their campus tour days, because I've never actually seen the accomodation I'm renting or much of the city.
So, question. Should I buy Bioshock Infinite despite having never played the first Bioshock and also despite not having any time to play this one?
It's not the best time to buy it. It's full price everywhere, and if you wanted to pay that price for it you should have done so when the pre-order bonuses were really good(on Amazon, there was a $30 credit and a free copy of the new X-Com, and other places offered the first two Bioshock games with a pre-order free). As it is right now, your best option if you did opt to buy it would be to look at the secondhand market where there are copies of Infinite in the $25-35 range because codes for it came with 7000-series AMD graphics cards.
Oh, also, it's definitely linked to Bioshock 1 in a meaningful way, though mostly near the end I think?
This completely blew my mind today, but NO ONE understands, because apparently the set of my acquaintances who know and love The Princess Bride does not intersect with those who have seen Homeland.
Regardless: Inigo Montoya and Saul from Homeland are played by the same guy.

Four playable characters, following each other, RPG style, with slightly more freedom of movement and with a small variety of types of movement, all running in-game. I feel like I'm getting the hang of this code thing finally.

That looks excellent dude!
I really like that old-monitor effect (scan lines?) That's going on there.
Looks very early Sierra/Lucas arts.
Some fantastic detail in the background environment as well.

Dude. This game is looking awesome every day I see it!
I have an idea that Dragon's Den can't turn down Sushi nav! Everytime you drive a mile it automaticly orders a portion of Sushi to be dilevered to your house no exceptions and it cannot be turned off and will automaticly pick the most expensive restaurant.
Had a tornado run by near here a couple of days ago, lost power for 25 hours, had to throw out the contents of my refrigerator. It's taking a while to catch back up online, but I think I've finally done it. Almost.

I can't take credit for the monitor effect. That's a built-in feature of the Draconian version of AGS. It has scanlines and CRT options in the game settings. And it's gorgeous.
Boyfriend and I went to the mall today on a date. We were going to do Build a Bear. Turned out to be too expensive so we went to the liquor store and bought booze and visited a botanical garden instead.

I certainly know I get straight A's.
Did you cheat?

...Heh. I guess hard work can pay off after all!

Three and a half hour video on youtube. Or were you interested in the shooting as well?
Just watch it on Youtube.
I'm just...going to go to Youtube a second...for no real raisin.
But why, when they dub Pokemon episodes into different languages, do they change the Pokemon voices too?
Maybe its a recording track thing, but I still find it kinda odd...
Hmmmm....

You are probably right there.
(I hadn't considered that tbh. Heh. Puzzlebox, you're such a smart cookie! XD)
Hooray, FINALLY someone gets it! I'm so glad that could be shared in some way.
I commonly score in the top 90% on IQ tests!
I say this because of my previous high school experiences.

Fortunately insurance has taken care of everything so far.
