Will telltale do other Lucasarts adventure stuff?

Now since Telltale did Monkey Island, I have been thinking on ideas on what telltale games could do with the other point and click adventure game series that Lucasarts had. Other than wanting to see a few original ideas from telltale first before any other lucasarts material. I did think an episodic day of a tentacle game would be interesting....

I just finished playing DoTT, and yeah, I it seems logical that if TT were to do another LucasArts franchise after Sam & Max and Monkey Island, it would be Tentacle. In fact, it was rumoured almost a year or so ago, but we've heard nothing since. Unfortunately, though, since the Adventure game loving president of LA has left now, it's up to the new president (not yet chosen) if Telltale gets to do anymore games based on theirs.

But yeah, I'd love an episodic DoTT series. Especially since presumabley Denny Delk would be able to return as Purple Tentacle (and Green, and Hoagie) given that he reprised Murray's voice in TMI with no problems. And I assume his relationship with Telltale is good.

EDIT: Also, this makes me want a DOTT reboot!!!

Be it episodes or a Special Edition. I know it's already fully voiced and still fairly good visuals, but out of all the classic talkies, if there are any I'd like to be remade it would be Tentacle. It seems like the logical choice.

Don't forget about Grim Fandango. This game was LOVED by adventure gamers and would suit the episodic format very well.

Aghh! You must all go out and buy a copy of Grim Fandango and then play it! Or if you already have it then finish it! That's an order!;)

I got stuck near the end of GF and never actually finished it. *sheepish*

I think a MM/DOTT game from Telltale has real potential. It seems like it would be a good fit. We can dream!

I have yet to play it as well.

Grim Fandango is by far the best game I have ever played. Really. REALLY.

But it began and ended perfectly. I don't want Telltale OR LucasArts to make a sequel or prequel.

I'd rather see episodes of Full Throttle or Loom, esp Loom because Lucas Arts didn't do such a great job with the concept if you ask me...:p

I'm pretty sure TT will be doing a new Maniac Mansion. Lucasarts is planning to do Maniac Mansion: Special Edition next.

...Ron Gilbert is currently available to hire, is he no? :)

....Um, Ron? If you're not doing anything for a while...

Episodic Fullthrottle would make me shed tears of joy.... then I would kick my own ass Polecat style for being such a sissy...

Ben was a rare gem in the Lucasarts adventure games because you got to be a cool tough guy character instead of a goofy one... at the time it seemed like a really fresh idea.

I didn't like Full Throttle at all. The story failed to interest me, the mini-game things were frustrating and took me most of the game, and I can say for sure that I'd have no interest in a sequel if it's similar to the first one.

We'd probably end up buying it anyway because my husband liked Full Throttle, but I wouldn't be interested in it at all, unless their was an interesting twist on it.

    Source?

Tbh I would absolutely LOVE a Maniac Mansion/Day of the Tentacle episodic format. One of my all time favorite game.

You really should try Grim Fandango, it has something very special which I am not able to describe. For years I have been praying for a sequel...come on TTG, step in and transform it into episodic format!!!

I've not played Grim Fandango, DoTT, or pretty much any other classic LucasArts games apart from Sam & Max and Monkey Island

Me neither, my interest with adventure games started just about 1 month ago.
So I have only played ToMI so far, but I am working on upgrading my list :)

Everything from Telltale games is a very good start. I have played the Bone series, Sam and Max Season 1 and 2 and will buy Season 3 today. And Tales of Monkey Island.

All of them have been a fantastic experience so far and I can only recommend it to anybody, not just to adventure gamers.

When I finish Sam and Max Season 3 I am planning to play the Wallace and Gromit Episodes followed by the recently announced Puzzle Agent.

There is so much creativity in the Telltale Games you cannot find anywhere else, and the special sense of humor.

I hope this company keeps this way of creating games for a very very long time!
