"Mind" the Lagomorph... They Stole Max's Brain! Did You Try List!

edited June 2010 in Sam & Max
I'll add stuff here as people suggest them.

DID YOU TRY...

- Exhausting every possible option in the interrogation part of the game?
- Did you try to use Future Vision on Sam in Papierwaite's office?
- Try to use Rinoplasty in the Sam's Ancestor Head at the Museum?
- Checking the credits to see if you could find Majus?
- Attempting to approach the office door twice while the tentacles are guarding the door.
- Attempting to speak to the museum’s moai head twice
- Looking at mysterious display multiple times
- Looking at the Devil’s Toybox and the projector twice while playing as Max’s brain (early in the game).
- Looking at Skun-ka’pe’s high tech control panel twice.
- Shooting minion
- Looking at brain urn after removing the Pharaoh’s brain from it
- Using future vision with all possible options
- Examining the map in Papierwaite’s office twice
- Looking at the Sammun-Mak idol near the ginormous statue twice.
- Looking a Stinky’s truck twice.
- Using the brain screw with anyone except Lord Sammun-Mak
- Looking at the toaster ad twice
- Looking at the radios twice
- Looking at Nicky T’s Radion Yurt sign twice.
- Attempting to shoot Sammun-Mak
- Using rhinoplasty to turn Max into a toaster after Sammun-Mak declares them the worst thing in the universe
- Looking at the credit card sign out the front of Stinky’s diner while credit cards are declared Sammun-Mak’s most hated thing

    Classic.

Did you try to use Future Vision on Sam in Papierwaite's office? I haven't, but a friend of mine just warned me about it.
  • edited June 2010
    i remember that! classic...

Try to use Rinoplasty in the Sam's Ancestor Head at the Museum. After seen the Sam's Future Vision at the Office, the pharaoh reaction to that was priceless.

    I first thought of Murray!

Because, he said roll, and instantly I thought "Roll through the gates of hell!"

Seriously though, I hated the pharaoh voice actor

    Fixed.

And I loved the pharaoh, his voice and everything. He was so charming even when he was the bad guy ^^!

    Did you try...
going through Sam's notepad in Sammun-Mak World?

    You couldn't tell in-game? :p

Also, I didn't try it myself, but I'd imagine that Sal would have some funny lines
when you offer him each of Max's forms, especially when toasters have been banned

You can't actually give Sal an item that Sammun-Mak has banned; Sam will simply keep Max from manifesting in the form of any object that the Pharaoh currently hates.

You can give Max's other Rhinoplasty forms to Sal as long as they aren't currently on Sammun-Max's list of banned items, though. (A list which is always exactly one item long. Funny, that.)

Do you think the pharoah has an attention span big enough to remember a list any longer than that?

    Edit: Ack, already mentioned...

fun fact: the pharoah's voice actress was the same as morgan leflay's.

    i like nicki's work

Yep, though I'm not sure I succeeded on the first one.

    Did you try...
*Shooting Sammun-mak when he was on his throne in the planetarium?

Interesting, I liked both of those characters/voices, wouldn't have guessed they're from the same person.

I did, but I didn't notice anything special? What did I miss?

I think it has to be with frankie it says
"When I rule reality I'll get a better copywriter" instead of " When we think of sammun-Mak we give a big salute"

The implications of the "subtitle writers' rebellion" is just hilarious.

Reminds me in many ways of the opening credits of Monty Python's Holy Grail :D

The same line appears when talking to Papierwaite.

It's a missing VO line for Max, so a bug, not some hidden easteregg or something.

Did you try going to the buffet table while Max was a storm cloud?
And in the Egyptian exhibit in the museum (act 2), you can use rhinoplasty on the picture of the seven-sided pyramid. I'm not sure if he could do anything funny in that form though.

    nvm

    Have you:
    Turned Pharoh-Max into a 7-sided pyramid?
(In the Museum) Used future vision on Sal and Ape Doorguard after the ape-on-roach action? That vision of Sal is fairly creepy
Destroyed the corn-dog pyramid in storm form?

That's pretty much what I said 2 posts ago ^^

This might be easy to miss:
Make Sam describe his gun when looking it in his inventory. He breaks into lil' song this time. :D Catchy.

(I noticed this in the Sammun-Mak reality, don't know if it's any different before that.)
  • edited June 2010
Did you ask sam in the strange world of sammunmak about different things.
Everytime there is a plot error with his story he will yell hail sammunmak.
  • edited June 2010
Even though it's a mandatory part of the game, using the gun on Frankie the Rat when you're interrogating. "You want a lawyer, huh? Well here's an attorney from smith and wesson!"

Works in the actual world too ^^!

By the way, look at the Badge of Inquisition. It's a curious description

Sorry for posting another 'Did You Try' List while yours already existed. Hopefully mine will get locked.

Probably it's been mentioned, but you try looking at the sign of the plant that is closer to Sal? What Sammun-Nak says and what Sam anwsers had he laughing really loud for more than a minute!

    Enter to Nicky T's twice!

Ah yes, I tried that. A pretty funny response, something about not re-entering without holy water or something. I still think that the initial response was funnier, but the follow up also provides you with a smile or a small laugh.
