In truth, I'm getting on with my life. My appetite for MI2:SE is ravenous and I can hardly wait, but there's lots of other cool stuff going on. I wrote a review of Puzzle Agent, I just wrote a bit of a column looking at Telltale which should go up soon and in non-adventurey stuff I've been playing with some cool new music equipment. It's been my birthday recently too, so plenty of presents to play with. There's so much going on that the wait has hardly been painful at all, but these next couple of days at work might be hard!
Wow, who knew a remake of a game most of us have already played countless times would have so much anticipation. It is so awesome that we are getting this special edition and I can't believe I have the same amount of excitement as I would with a new Monkey Island game.
I am now trying to play "Jojo the monkey" to perfection. I have memorized both hand placements, but I just have to try not to make as many slip-ups. Damn sweaty hands.

It truly is great. The older fans can re-experience the excitement that they must have felt prior to the release of 'LeChuck's Revenge' and now the younger fans can share that feeling with them.

From the excitement?
Maybe:D
But in all seriousness, yes we can all experience that. I almost feel like I am new to the game even though I've been a fan for around 7 years. I was born in '95, so I didn't really get to experience the same kind of hype that I did for Tales, the first SE and now the second SE.

Augh! I was born in '87. Stop making me feel old! Though this does explain why Curse was the only game I was able to beat your time on, since I've been playing it since you were two.

Don't worry, you're just a year older than my little brother. Probably not even that, because he was born in very early '88.
Oh, and what I'm doing while waiting? Playing Red Dead Redemption on my PS3. Fantastic game, I'm happy to finally see a (very) successfull game based in the wild west. Hopefully, that will make developers take notice and realize that there really is a good market for them, as long as the game is good. And Rockstar being the sequel whores that they are, we're bound to see a Red Dead Redemption 2 sooner or later. Maybe even just expansion packs, like GTA4 got. I'll buy it regardless.
And it would be great if someone decided to make an equally great game but with a pirate theme instead. With the whole of caribbean to travel around in.

*ehem* Born in '80, turning 30 this year. First played SOMI when I was 10...Ah, good times...
Got MI1 at around the time MI2 was out. Born in '82 so I would have been about 9 or 10 Because of some sort of family friend connection, I was round the house of a guy who gave hints in an Amiga magazine, I think he was known as The Boggit. He showed me the beginning of MI1 and 2. I remembered liking the music with 'the guy on the bridge' so I asked my dad if I could get MI2 (I didn't even really know what sorts of games they were and that it'd be better to play MI1 first). But he said 'I think the one with the bridge was MI1.' Luckily, his mistake meant that I got to play the games in the right order.

Wow, I was born in '75. Feel a bit younger now? Got Secret of Monkey Island when it came out, so you would have been around 3?
wow I was born in '90 and I only got somi when the SE came out, but I got curse about 10 years ago and escape about 9 years ago and I bought LR last year
Born in 1992, introduced to the series in late 2004. Began playing MI1/2 then, then bought Curse and Escape early in 2005.
They are by far the most special games I have ever played, even though they have not been with me for as long as most of you guys. And with LCR:SE coming a week before my 18th birthday, it's safe to say that these games are the signature games of my childhood.
Born 1990, parents had me on their lap as they were playing through SoMI, then when I was about 5 they got LR and I only just remember watching them play it. Then when Curse came out we all played it together, then I played Escape with mum only, when that was released. I guess being on my parents lap at the time means that SoMI was the first computer game I ever played!
