Good old times...

Anyone remember the days were we expected each new episode with so much anticipation? I miss those days...

And anyone else remember that there was a sort of gif of Club 41 where the concept art was shown and its theme played in the backgroung? Anyone know where I can find that?

PS: Sorry, kinda pointless thread, but I wanna find that :)

    Here you go. Enjoy!
EDIT: Apparently, you have to have won the prize to be able to see it. Let me look into something.

    This might work. Maybe.

    That works, thanks!
You can also log into the treasure hunt website, click on "Have a code?" and play with the Tiki to unlock all the treasures.
The one with Club 41 is #9 (Maplaciea), which is unlocked (I'm not positive as I unlocked a lot of things in a few minutes by trying random combinations and don't remember exactly which one unlocked prize # 9, but I believe this is it) by turning the top part of the Tiki to the right twice (one eye open, once closed), the middle part to the left once (two nostrils, as though you're seeing the nose from below) and the bottom part to the right once (a crooked smile?).
    I hope this helps.

Thanks guys! That's the one! Brings a lot of great memories :)

That's why we need season 2! (apart from the obvious reasons)

2009 sure was a great year! :) I hope that all of us will meet again in this forum once a new season is announced so we can share our fever one more time.

    Glad I wasn't there for that...^

I'd almost forgotten how good it was. I want to relive those times desperately, which is why I wholeheartedly agree with Mermaid's post.

Ah yes, so much fun. It's definetly not the same over in the Sam&Max forum.

Agreed. I very rarely visit that forum. It's a little... too disorganized, and some of the posting there actually annoys me.

I read that very long thread about all waiting for the last episode to be released, how all stayed up all night not to miss the second that would happen.
I sure wish I knew about the ToMI before then, I would have loved to be part of that. :D

I remember those days! Waiting around for the last episode, eventually got it around 2am, installed and played through it all in one go, finished around 5:30am and then went to work! :D

...or did not go to work. :D

I especially liked Jake's reaction to our CET-timers plan to stay awake until the release. It was something like "Hell no, people, go to bed, this is still gonna take a while!!"

It was kind of hysteric before the release of the first chapter:p
All people who was waiting for it and it was delayed

I think I might've had the best Monkey Island experience of anyone: I'd kind of overlooked the Tales or Special Editions hype until recently, less than a couple weeks ago, when I got both of the SEs.

Yeah, imagine getting back into the familiar world of MI voodoo and grog after more than a decade, all new again (although I mostly played in the Classic mode with voices turned off, for nostalgia's sake) and playing the 1st and 2nd chapters end-to-end, before dusting off my Curse discs and wandering about Plunder Island for a while when I decided to skip ahead and check out Tales at last :) and before you could say "sexyfish" I was already in Skipper Cay and on my way to finishing the series in a few days.

So yea, I just went from Secret to Pirate God in more or less one sitting :D and enjoyed every minute of it.

This is why I love gaming: you can relive nostalgia in a way not possible with movies and stuff. Here's looking to more revivals down the road <3

Geez was it a year ago that we were eagerly anticipating every release of the fifth Monkey Island game? Already a year? Holy crap I didn't even realize it until now.

still can't believe the whole Monkey Island revival, I mean Monkey Island 5? I only waited half my life for that... :p

I wonder if there are any people who'll eagerly correct that to "Monkey Island 6" left?

But yeah. Those were good times. All those theories and stuff...
Lots of wonderful things were happening in the past (not only here, I mean in general). Nostalgia's a fine thing and it is nice to go back and remember the times, but, we've got to go forward, ain't we? ;) (and in case of MI, I mean the second season of ToMI :p )

Aw comeon, it's the fifth game in the series even if it isn't technically meant to be.

    My words.

Actually, not only it's the fifth game in the series, it IS technically meant to be the fifth game in the series. Time gaps between sequels don't mean shit :p

I just wonder if there are any who still will be ready to argue about that stuff :p

Farlander, wait for 24 hours and there'll be a whole new old discussion about that in this thread. ;)
