I realize this is slightly off topic... so ban me but they should totally do a web doc talking about rebuilding the DeLorean for the game... show some of the ingame model details up close and talk about modeling it..... I would find it interesting.
No problem. In fact, I assume this thread (which consists of 4 different threads at the time) will eat more than its weight in newly created redundant threads in the time to come.
I think that this is an alternative to the end of BTTF 3, the delorean was destroyed at the end of number 3 but, near the end of number 2 Marty sees himself go back to 1955 at the carlot, and the other interesting point is that " how did doc know to where the bullet proof vest at the end of bttf 1, when we didnt see him read the note, so time repeats its self into the end of the first film without seeing what happens, (hence the trilogy) so maybe history repeats itself at the end of bttf 3 and the delorean isnt destroyed, hence the tv series??
But on a different point, when is episode being released??
One thing you can say about the Doc: he never litters. In his rage over possibly screwing up future events, he ripped up that note very carefully and stored it for future disposal in the proper trash receptacle
Doc rebuilt the time machine with a new DeLorean in the cartoon series, and I wouldn't accept any other explanation for it in the video game. He didn't borrow it from the mine, it's not from his many adventures between dropping marty off at his house and then picking him up hours later to save his kids . . . new DeLorean or the story falls apart.

That's probably the most likely answer. It makes sense considering Doc had the train and could always just pick up whatever parts he needed and grab a new DeLorean. If Doc continued time traveling as the final moments of BttF3 suggested, he would likely want something that's a bit more practical than that giant train. The train (flying no less) isn't exactly the most inconspicuous way to travel through time and would simply be cumbersome to get around with.
Just remaking the car makes sense and is an easy explanation that doesn't require rewriting a ton of movie canon. So I'll be content if this is the answer.
simple idea most scientists have a prototype and a finished vision it may be a prototype he hadnt got right but now knows what needed to be re tweaked and uses earlier prototype
Has anyone actually thought about the gameplay side of things, i hope that there is a lot to explore and your free to roam about as opposed to having set levels with limitations on where you can go and what you can do.

From the short gameplay video that was released yesterday, it looks like a standard Point-and-click so there will be "selective-roaming", but events will unlock progressively as the story develops.
When I say selective roaming, it only means that some areas will be locked but you will be walk around and explore.
The core of the gameplay will probably reside in the dialogs, you will need to walk around, talk to people, look at things, until you find THE ACTION that will unlock the next chain of events.
I personally think TellTale couldn't have done this any other way. This ensures a solid BTTF experience for people who love the franchise as much as we do.
But to get back to the DeLorean : I tried to squeeze my brain to figure out where it comes from, but really I think we need to wait for the game to come out... The 3d model we see in the trailer maybe isn't the same as what will be in the final product...
Maybe they tweaked the sequence to make sure we don't figure out where it's from ?

There's no arguing that!
OT: Thanks for the topic merge.

As always, I'm happy for TTG to take their time and produce a superior product.
Welcome, and read the whole thread , we've been discussing this for weeks :D
