BttF Drinking Game

edited December 2010 in Back to the Future
My friends and I recently had a BttF marathon, which was awesome. We intend to have another marathon in the near future, but this time we want to do it as a drinking game. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for cues. Here's what I have so far:

Whenever someone time travels.
Whenever someone says "This is heavy."
Whenever someone says "Great Scott."
Whenever someone calls Marty "chicken".
Whenever a picture/newspaper changes.

I'm sure there are a ton more that could be added. Any ideas?

Whenever Doc makes a funny expression on his face. (have fun trying to hold out till the end of the trilogy! :p )

Whenever you hear the words past or future

Thanks guys! I don't think I'll last halfway through the first movie with those! I have another one to add:

Whenever Doc lights something on fire.

Whenever someone says 'Back to the Future.'
Whenever 'The Power of Love' plays.
    Whenever a Tannen encounters manure.

Whenever someone says or does something that would be considered PG-13 by todays standards.

Whenever the word "Butt-head" is used.
Whenever someone looks at a watch or clock.
Whenever an actor in old age makeup appears onscreen.

If you incorporate all of these rules you might be passed out before you get halfway through the first movie...

This makes me think of a radio comedy around a Jane Austen drinking game, and the players were watching pride and prejudice.

    Try this one:

Whenever you hear the words "Johnny" or "Go"

Whenever Biff says "Say hi to your mom for me." (or a variation of it)

How about this one. This will surely get the party starting.

    Rules:
    1) Drink at every instant the movies are awesome.

Everyone would die of alcohol poisoning before BTTF2. :p

Special: Take a sip every 5 seconds for the entire time that 4 DeLoreans are simultaneously present in 1955

    ^
There are never 4 DeLoreans in 1955 during the duration of the movie.

(I have probably just killed this topic. >.>)

    Alright, count 'em :

    In BTTF 2 :
    - Delorean #1 = The Delorean from BTTF 1, with the hook
    - Delorean #2 = The Delorean from 1885 in the mines
    - Delorean #3 = The Delorean from 2015 that Old Biff is using
    - Delorean #4 = The Delorean from 2015 with Doc and Marty, coming back moments before Old Biff.

That's 3 Deloreans from the future, and one from the past.

Although it doesn't apply for the WHOLE movie, at ONE point there are precisely FOUR DeLoreans.

    Thread saved.

During OUR visit in 1955 in Bttf2 there are never 4 DeLoreans.

The one in the mine only appears the instant after the #4 disappears.

Well you made me think about something here... We both interpret the movie differently :

I don't want to make assumptions, but you seem to see the BTTF Trilogy as the actual records of Marty's travel since we only see things happening from his POV.

When I'm watching it, I'm more like an observer, detached from the events and more focused on the "result".

When I think back on the movie, I crunch the timelines so they are resumed to one string of events, something along the lines of the famous Hitchhiker's Guide quote :

    Anything that happens, happens.

Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen.

Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again.

It doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though.

This probably also explains why everyone is freaking out about the whole "it's the same DeLorean" thing.

So if you agree, I'd say we are both fourth dimensionally right ? :)

THIS IS A DRINKING GAME GO DISCUSS IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
If anyone survives the whole movie following the rules make sure you record the final result.

Whoa, sorry, sorry :) I'll just leave with a serious suggestion :

Whenever someone uses an out-of-place verb tense (or struggles to find the correct verb tense)
  • edited December 2010
Take a sip every time Biff screws up a saying, and down your glass if someone corrects him.

Woah, what crawled up your butt(head)?

Whenever Marty uses a fake name (or is called a different name) or poses as someone else.

    A pole.

Whenever biff gets angry, marty gets riled, and whenever his mom is erotic towards him. (including BFFT2 when she has the big fakes)

Don't forget to drink every time you hear 1.21 Giga(jiga)watts! (well, that's only for the first movie, right?)

    Drink everytime someone says: "Doc"

If I combined all the suggestions in this thread I think the trailer alone would kill me. :D
