Yes, this would be awesome but the problem is that it would need to be funny for a change.

I thought it was the tickle monster.... but now that I think about it that doesn't seem all that foreboding.

I wasn't exactly thinking of the funny noises you can make with a sandwich under your axle.

Yes, though sometimes Conquest is substituted in for Pestilence, depending on where you read it. It's usually Pestilence, though.

So...on the 17th (or maybe even the 16th) should we make a new thread for discussing the mystery announcements? This one seems to be getting kind of...cluttered.

    Only when they get announced.

Well with BTTF and Jurassic Park, they made the forums for them immediatly, so Im sure that will happen again, but where would this thread be moved:p

    Telltale's next five projects. :D

Christ would be fun. Telltale is usually into licensed fiction, but the brand recognition is pretty good with that franchise. Some fantastic and iconic imagery. There is of course the idea of which of the Gospels to believe when it comes to which version of Jesus we are going to portray, since they're definitely mutually exclusive. The best options are to go with the most popular version of each event, go with the version that best fits the game, or to go with a tweaked, creatively original version of events(much like Luke and Matthew did with the Gospel of Mark). Personally, my favorite is "pick the most badass version of events", though "the version that best fits particular puzzles" would also be amazing.

Nice, but TTG is not into re-doing all the old stuff. This has to be all-new material. High time for a sequel, I say. :)

    The Bible 2: The Quickening
  • edited February 2011
I dunno, the last book in the canonical bible series kind of wraps up the series pretty tightly. Any sequel attempts would feel somewhat forced, wouldn't they? I mean, granted, the whole thing is based off Deus Ex Machina and it's pretty self-contradictory, but even series fans would have some trouble swallowing this kind of obvious messing with the source?

    ...

Actually, nevermind, they're pretty used to it, and it has proven to be somewhat marketable.

Then again, the first part felt wrapped up entirely and the second part felt pretty contradictory and repetitive. So why not have a third one? One with a REAL cliffhanger this time?

Duh! The guy failed to avoid the kiss at the Cluedo part, couldn't solve the court scene to get the other guy convicted and then he cheated at the cross transport puzzle. Those were so easy! Really, he needs the help of a skilled adventure player! Unless they'd do it with ATEs.... ("push A to avoid the first nail").

Guys, guys. I think the Mormons have the whole 'Biblical fanfiction' market all wrapped up. Between them and the Rastafarians, there's no room left for further bullshit.

It's not a derailing, though! Talking about the potential five games and their possibilities is the whole point of the thread! We couldn't be more on-topic if we TRIED.

There are PLENTY of gospels that didn't make it into the bible, and nobody worships the various gnostic ideas of Christ anymore. We've ripped out and refined our current bullshit, why can't we fit more, new bullshit? We've been shoveling modern ideas of religion into that space for some time, and I doubt there is a limit to how much can fit.
