but it did hurt me quite well when I paid 10 bucks for a 20mb game.
Why that? The size of a game is obviously no indicator for quality. I personally like it because for me it means they are programming it efficiently. Also check the directory. A huge portion of this are not game files.
Iunno... Any price higher than 10$ is a waste for this game, no matter how entertaining it is. They already got so many profit from an amateurly coded game.
Mouth looks kinda off I guess so that irks me out a little. I'm planning to crush this one completely and work on a better placed, full body statue but I'm keeping that till we make a Telltale server.
Quick question to those that have the game.
Is there a way to communicate with people ingame if you dont have a mic?
I don't have one and a lack of communication wont help with multiplayer.

All righty. Just bought it. Cant wait to play it.
EDIT:Wow the download was surprisingly fast.
EDIT2:Oh its one of those, click play and more things you must instal type steam game
EDIT3:And that download was surprisingly fast
EDIT4:My shelter
As you see its a nice 2 floor house. I copied Total Biscuits idea of adding a door and being able to mine at night, and hopefully I can expand that area down there for when NPCS start joining. Until then I need some better weaponry and a bed so I spawn there.
you base the amateurly on what facts? There is one coder, the game is in beta and was released early because people wanted it and it is quite well playable since the alpha. Multiplayer is a bit of a mess right now but he is working on it and I actually trust him to do the stuff he wants to do with the game. The PR-guy is doing a good job to. Replying to emails / questions, noting reported bugs, publicity work etc.
And y<es they made quite a bit of money from this project. But even with the game being as it is right now the money is well earned.

Edit: your Max-head looks awesome by the way.
It's amateurly coded if you make comparisons with other games bearing the same price. There are also gaps left void intentionally -since it's only the beta- but I'll have to count that as well since everything the game offers you except for its primary idea (survive and build shit) depends its existence on trial and error. Sure, BETA means exactly that; but not every game releases a BETA and willing to change every aspect in the game. Still, it doesn't mean much and amateur coding isn't the same as lazy coding. Game's compatibility holds up pretty good for what it has to offer. I just think 10$+ isn't the exact equavalent of this coder's sum of effort went into the game.
Yeah, while building a shelter I started thinking "Hey doesnt this look exactly like TB's world?"
Makes me wonder how randomized it was
EDIT:Ok his world looks much different than mine looking back, but still that one area was pretty similar before I levelled it.
YAY more Terraria vids with Totalbiscuit! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOiggzVqboo&feature=feedu
You can tell very easily I based my house off of them, but I am working on some new stuff as well. Ill show you a pic of what Ive got after Im done watching this.
EDIT:There it is That for now will be my shelter.
I even created a little pit for the guide so he doesnt bother me.
GOD, Jesse is so awesome. They play the game so impractical IMO, and I get a lot of facepalms out of it, but Jesse's comments make it so worthwhile.
So I guess we don't have much players around and there isn't much of a way to get a Telltale Server work, at least until the next update in which they take care of the multiplayer problems, but I would really like to partake in such a thing. Let's get it to work people, somehow :<

Cant someone just make a server, name it telltale land or something, add a password for us, and those who have the game play together?
EDIT:Or a better name. TellTaleria.
I played some multi yesterday with the guy that gave me his second copy of Frozen Synapse for the game. It was quite interesing but I should have made a new character for multiplayer. *makes a note for the future*
Cant someone just make a server, name it telltale land or something, add a password for us, and those who have the game play together?
EDIT:Or a better name. TellTaleria.
It's not hard to make a server. It's just there are some rules;
1- If one person makes a server and we start playing in it, all data (except our inventories) is saved on his machine. Therefore we won't have any way to continue from where we left off if the server host isn't around.
2- The computer always has to be on to host a server. If we want to play in Telltaleria we have to be strictly organized with schedules according to the host's own, like, "everyday between 10am and 6pm Telltaleria time, except if I happen to go out with some friends and shit". Furthermore, we all live in different timezones, so it may be hard to keep a schedule. It'll benefit everyone if the server host keeps his system on for all times, but not everyone is willing to do that.
Cant someone just make a server, name it telltale land or something, add a password for us, and those who have the game play together?
EDIT:Or a better name. TellTaleria.
I would make a server but I have a feeling it would lag...a lot.
We have to get a volunteer for hosting the server. The qualities we seek are only two of them;
a- A good connection
b- Keeping the computer on most times. Not always but it'd be good to have a not-so-harsh schedule.
How will we do it? We need Hamachi so that building the entire connection will be as easy as having a sleek LAN party at someone's basement. For some reasons, the newest versions of Hamachi (now named LogMeIn) didn't seem to work when I tried multiplayer with my friends (although it might be a local IP issue, since I'm living in pretty much an obscure place on the earth, Turkey) but an old version of Hamachi seems to work. Since I'm using this old version and there WILL be version compatibility issues between other versions of Hamachi, even if you got LogMeIn versions to work I suggest you to use the old, 1.0.3.0 one so that I can play with you guys as well.
For those who aren't playing, here's what's happened so far.
-We've built a giant Max statue
-Our base is set up and fully functional
-We've discovered a huge cave full of shiny metal
-I accidentally summoned the Eye of Cthulu.
Oh thanks for giving me the demonite for the sword.
Der Ketzer, I may need to know a few items so I can look them up on the wiki.
The sword that fires stars, the vines, and the no fall damage names please:D
2 of those can be found on the floating islands. And please just call me god. It's shorter that way *evilgrin*.
other items I currently use:
Full necro armor (for additional speed) Marumassa (Sword that auto-swings like a pickaxe)
Obsidian skull // Feral Claws
Cobalt shield (no Knockback by enemies, really helpful on edges & in boss battles)
Red Baloon (look at my avatar for the main reason)
2 of those can be found on the floating islands. And please just call me god. It's shorter that way *evilgrin*.
fine. It actually is easier than trying to remember how to spell your name:D
Oh and I learned a way for easier floating islands. They are closer to the ground if you pick a small world, We should remember that for next time.
EDIT:You might want to edit the OP on the details on the telltale Hamachi server, and the fact that it says I haven't bought the game yet.
I preferred the Jesse is "turable" at series.
Also I wondered what Jesses said when he saw that TB was the one that flooded him in part 3. That was perfect
"Hey why is there water coming down here"
"I honestly have no clue, it could have been a bug or a monster"
I was more laughing at how perfect the lie was. I didnt detect anything in his voice.
kinda like what I did with you yesterday. Sorry for that again XD
Yeah I was out of matches, and the water destroyed the rest so I couldn't see. I threw the boomarang for less than a second of life, and did that until I found a tiny pocket of air, which I grappled to, and the pocket was just big enough for my head. Then I sat there and got attacked by slime(hard to aim when you cant see) as I called for Falanca to help.
By the way this was only the SECOND time. The first thank god it wasnt much water, but dear lord you flooded me the second time.
Woot. got the magic mirror, weapons dealer, and a mining helmet today.
Pretty decent considering where I'm at.
And I have yet to find a floating island either.
Ill summ this up.
Farming for the shadow armor(Yay)
Photos http://steamcommunity.com/id/gman5852/screenshots/?tab=&showdate=1&filter=app_105600 Ill keep it updated on our online events.
Me and Falanca got some meteroite ore which for me is going straight to the red lightsaber.
God flooded my house.
God farmed for some other materials.
We created a death pit.
I lagg
I think that is it.
Comments
It is rumored that the price will go up for this game once it is no longer in beta state and that 10$ is an actual discount.
Why that? The size of a game is obviously no indicator for quality. I personally like it because for me it means they are programming it efficiently. Also check the directory. A huge portion of this are not game files.
Yikes. I probably should buy it soon. When exactly does the beta end?
Well they said the price would remain at least for 1 week. That time is up but the programmer was moving to a new home. He seems to have arrived now.
Plans for the game...

There is an ingame chat feature.
Cool. I will most likely get this either today or tomarow.
