Difference in the ending of PA2?

I just beat the game, and I have a question about the ending sequence,
when Nelson is running through the woods in his boxers. I couldn't do the matching game fast enough, and so I got a cutscene in which Nelson and the world were saved by bigfoot.
While this was funny, I'm curious to know if I'd have seen something else if I'd actually completed that challenge successfully.

    Nope, the ending is the same.

    The ending is slightly different.
    bigfoot still helps though

    If you lose at Lunar Run,
    Nelson trips over and the ray machine falls short of the lake. Bigfoot picks it up and chucks it through the ice.

    If you win,
    Nelson throws the ray onto the ice, but it doesn't break through. Bigfoot turns up and roars to crack the ice, then the machine sinks into the deep.

    The rest of the ending is the same.

    I liked more the losing ending.

    Yeah.... I like the loser ending too...... YAY FOR LOSERS!!!!
