PS3 question

I downloaded the game on PS3. I work from home and sometimes need to pause the game when I'm working. Did anybody notice if you can pause the game at anytime? Some games I play, you cannot pause during cut scenes and it ruins the game when I'm working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
