Carley

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
We all know that, if you saved Doug, he will built an alarm. But we don't know what Carley would do if we saved her. Probably something with a gun...
What do you think?:

Be on watch at the camp.
Hunting.
Shooting Lessons.
Nothing on camp, but probably will save someone later.
Nothing with a gun.
Nothing at all.
Something else.

Tell your guesses here!!

Yeah I saved doug. So if anyone of the 75% who went for the chick (why would you do that in a zombie apocalypse, doesnt make sense.) could tell that would be awesomesauce.

Carly's got fast reflexes and she's a smart lady pertaining to current affairs and what not, being a journalist and all.

She will be an asset in analyzing people and putting pieces of a puzzle together. Just don't put her near electronics - she's useless that way..

I saved Carley my first time around, just because I got to know her better. I figured her analytic skills as a reporter (if im remembering correctly) could come in handy. Plus a gun is always handy because things will always hit the fan.

I haven't seen what this alarm looks like that Doug makes, but I figure anyone can make some kind of string and can alarm or something similar. I'm sure Doug can do some helpful things to.

This seems pro-Carley but I really don't know much about Doug. I did bet on that dark horse in my second save though :).

The alarm that Doug builds is kind of a system of strings that will activate some bells, and cans... Not sure... It's what it looks like in this video

Seems like something a little bit complex, that the other charcters couldn't do.

Oh, I see. That at least looks more complex than the average can-and-string alarm. I assume it works as well as it looks to. I guess it comes down to people skills vs technical skills. Hmmmm...

carley doesn't do anything major other than shoot certain people

    [Spoilers]

Well I kind of doubt that only 75% of the people got Doug in their game considering that many hipsters probably went and replayed the game after finding out nobody chose Doug.

Did you Doug people get the camera thing with the batteries at the very end too? Just wondering considering Carley is a Reporter and cameras are probably more her thing.

You don't understand why someone would save a "chick" in this situation?? How many headshots did she get with that gun of hers? Doug is a guy but he's also a "mom's basement nerd" guy.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here unless it's: "Guys are better at everything than girls... so there"

thank you for making an incredibly sexist statement...I think it was pretty obivous why people saed Carley. She has a gun and is a good shot (andrea anyone?)

Carley is not only a sharp-shooter, but she can speak up. In the drug store, she tried to calm everyone down multiple times. Doug only has expertise with mechanical stuff and doesn't seem to handle the situations of others well (except for coming back to the dairy to find you).

Shut up about hipsters, no one and everyone is one simultaneously and not at all, a hipster hates other hipsters, but doesn't deny he himself is one, but despises the thought of being labeled so. Either way in the gaming industry it's (I hope) impossible for anyone to be one or not? Carley has Lees back, she advises Lee about food, wants him as leader, try's to help settle arguements, is a great shot, she saves Clem in the pharmacy if you decide not to save her, she saves Lee from getting bumbaclart to the face by a zombie and andy. she's a keeper, maybe Lee will get laid before summer ends after all...but she knows, SHEKNOWS!

To be realistic nobody is thinking about a nerdy person in a zombie apoc. In real life people would go with the person with the weapon thats just common sense but if you thinking outside the box which is very and i mean very rare you would go for doug(but this is real life im talking) So what like 75 percent players picked Carly and why? The gun is why that is a form of protection regardless if it last long or not it is plain and simple option in a zombie apoc!!!!

Before you choose who to save, you and carley talk and she keeps it quiet and she "trusts" you, i would save her before doug cuz shes more on my side then he was

Carley is an easy trigger, that could lead us to death certainly!

I chose Carley in both of my playthroughs, mainly because I saw a "save Doug" playthrough on Youtube. While Doug sets up an alarm system, Carley does active sentry duty, and is the first to notice the St. John brothers and hold them at gunpoint.

Carley saved me in the streets in front of the drugstore, inside the drugstore again, and helped me save Glenn. Then I saved her when the store got overrun, after telling her I trusted her with my secret. She saved my life twice, I saved her once. In episode 2, she saved me from David (the guy in the bear trap) when he reanimated at the inn. That's three times she has saved me. Plus when she finds Lee after escaping the barn, she and Ben are hilarious...

    Carley: Lee, are you OK?
    Ben: What's happening Lee?
Carley: SHUT UP BEN. Lee, What's going on?

Exactly! The connection with Carley feels so much more personal because throughout the game she and Lee have been able to watch out for each other. It feels like they have built a feeling of trust that is earned. Plus Carley is such a more pro-active character than Doug. Like you said, she was the one who went out of her way to help the group into the drug store and several times now Carley has been there to save Lee from walkers and once with Andy.

Yeah Doug helped program the remote, but aside from that we hardly got to know anything about him. He was just some guy. A nice guy, but just some guy! Episode 2 really has not given much beyond that either.

Poor Ben. I wonder if he's going to get shot down any time he talks.

if Carley was saved she will intensify your game with a incredibly serious atmosphere of which kenny, mark, and lee are the only ones who can crack jokes and make comic relief.

He made a makeshift alarm system, which means hes very resourceful however, judging from what Carley says about Doug and what Doug says after you save him rather than Carley, he would have prefered to die in Carleys place anyway, I guess he is just that kind of guy.
