Salt lick and *snip*... SPOILERS!

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
I have never lived on a farm or anything but would Kenny dropping a salt lick
on Larry's head really make it explode? His head splattered all over the room.
I wouldn't think a salt lick could do that much damage.

Depending on the height it was dropped from, yeah, probably. Those are heavy suckers.

Might crack his skull and bounce off. I've never picked up a salt lick that heavy before, but pick up a brick and throw it on his head as hard as you can. It'll definitely do damage, but I don't think it'll splat like the watermelon effect from the game.

But after watching Spartacus and game of thrones I'm quite used to it :p

they are heavy enough to squish a watermelon if you put force behind them... not that ive ever tried such a thing... honest

I lived in Iowa for a while and did some work on a farm. Salt licks are pretty darn heavy. When I was working on the scene I had the same feeling that it might bounce. However I think if you hit Larry's skull right on the corner and it collided around the eyebrow area it would wedge in and drive downwards.

Of course we did take a bit of artistic license for dramatic effect :)

Neither did I actually. The voice actor for him is awesome!

For a moment after Larry's head got smashed I thought it might've gone differently... I had trouble finding the hotspot for reanimating him, so I thought I just messed up. That would be a MAJOR branch-off though, so I guess that's a bit too much to ask for ;)

By the way, I NEVER want to see the kind of reference material you guys have for all this shit...

kenny fucked up bad. not just in killing kenny. he made a fatal mistake that has cost him his life and kaatjas and ducks if he can't be saved seperately.... He didn't tell Clementine to look away and she was forced to watch larrys head get smashed. He has scarred my daughter his fate is sealed.

An episode where the team focuses on (somewhat plausible) game events would be great! :D

What's the weirdest thing to me though is that despite the fact so many people in the forums were hoping that Larry would die soon after Episode 1, so many people still tried to save his life during Episode 2.

If I had been given the option I would have dropped the salt-lick on his head myself, hoping that it wouldn't do the job completely so I could have another go.

    Cruel? Yeah.
Giving me a whole lot of satisfaction after the dick moves he pulled? Hell Yes!

LOL! So much this...and I didn't really see much of a personality change from episode 1 to 2.

Also, I love all of the people that are here saying they wanted to save him because dying from a heart attack was "too good" for him!

I think it's pretty plausible. Larry was unbearable in Episode 1, but the situation was intense and he immediately knew who Lee was and the potential danger he posed to Lilly. We next see him 3 months later, in a far less stressful position (until dinner), and after 3 months we can assume Lee has gone a long way towards proving he is not a loose cannon. If anything Lee has probably spent most of it trying to keep the peace between Lilly and Kenny.

Kenny on the other hand was appreciative of your help, encountering a new group and having his son threatened, but is slowly but surely losing hope and becoming more desperate.

I've been wondering this myself. The only way that Telltale can keep me surprised is if some character suddenly turns evil or has other intentions.
