Misunderstandings, confused descisions. Got any?
Hey all, I'm curious to know what split-second decisions other people have made that were affected by confusion or misunderstanding a situation. That's not to say I think it's necessarily a good or bad thing in terms of gameplay, I just find it interesting.
Off the top of my head I can recall the girl in the motel in episode 1. When she asked for the gun I chose not to give it to her, primarily because I didn't feel comfortable handing a hysterical stranger a loaded semi-automatic weapon. As it turns out, that aspect of the situation wasn't part of the game itself.
In episode 2, I chose to not loot the car full of supplies, only because I thought it looked too good to be true and could have been a trap. Again, that didn't end up being a part of the narrative.
Anyone else?

IE, Clem asks to pee, I saw "Just go" as in giving her permission to find the toilets or whatever. Instead Lee yells at her. Small stuff like that.
Same here... I was just mad at that guy, but i didn't think it through that Clementine would watch...
It was also the first time when i decided to kill someone instead of sparing him...
Yeah, the "Just go" reply was so surprisingly mean but I guess it's understandable given the prevailing tension at that very moment.
I don´t know if it qualifies for the thread, but at the car looting scene, at first I chose to steal from the car, but I was feeling so bad with myself that I just had to reload a save and choose the opposite option. Anyone else had the same problem?
What happens if you dont give her that gun ? Just curious ...
Anyway, I remember beginning of episode 1, in a police car, the officer told me something about "marrying wrong woman". I wanted to reply " Maybe she married the wrong man", but instead I just shrugged and made some wierd noise.
That was pretty .. wierd ..
the the scene just goes on even longer, she fights for the gun until the blacony breaks and does it anyway. I just wanted to spare some ammo, instead I got pulled into a WWF rumblefest
Damn ... pretty dark.
Apparently Carley ends up upset with you if you don't give it to her the same way Glenn is if you do, but I saved Doug in the same play through I gave didn't give her the gun, so I wouldn't know.
I wonder if anyone noticed that the balcony is broken in their ep 2 playthrough if that fight happened, but is still standing if they gave her the gun. I didn't see anyone remark on that.
Of course not. That part of the hotel was completely out of our minds as we couldn't go there.
You can see it all the time though! It was just a background detail, but I had hoped someone would pick up on it.
Damn, thats a nice touch
Only thing I remember right now is Clem using word manure I taught her in episode 1 very proud of her
I spotted it on my second playthrough. I really appreciate the attention to detail even if some of us are slow to notice it.
I didn't notice it myself since I opted to give her the gun, but I'm glad to know it's there now. That sort of attention to detail definitely goes towards making any game a richer experience, even if it sometimes goes unnoticed.
