The Walking Dead: A Western-Style Visual Novel?
I've been playing a lot of Katawa Shoujo lately (which I strongly recommend, if you can handle the horrible depression ), and while I played Episode 2 I realized something.
Even though it looks and plays like a Western point-and-click adventure game, The Walking Dead seems to have more in common with visual novels. You're moving mostly on rails, though your choices and dialogue options determine where the story goes.
It's sort of like an inversion of Phoenix Wright, I guess. That's a point-and-click adventure that looks like a VN, and the Walking Dead's a VN that looks like a point-and-click adventure.
Just an observation.

BttF was a point-and-click adventure, albeit an extremely limited one.
As for Jurassic Park...calling that a VN would be an insult to the rich interactivity of visual novels.
Lilly's path man... Lilly's path.
I'll be doing her next once I'm done with Rin's.
Speaking of which, every time Lilly was mentioned in the new Walking Dead episode felt really weird for me. Didn't help that Larry got a heart attack.
Rin's path was the 2nd best in the entire game, right after Lilly's. You really saved the best one.
So far Rin's has been kind of eh, for me. But we'll see how I feel at the end. Something tells me I'll be crying. Again.
It really picks up towards the end, I think you'll like it.
Or a sequel to Saya No Uta, for that matter.
Yeah but this is kind of unofficial classification stuff.
