Awesome "Silent" Dialogue

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
I actually find some of the "..." conversation options to make for quite awesome scenes, not just ones of awkward silence.

One notable instance was during episode three
with Ben confessing his involvement in the bandit raid. I had Lee remain silent from shock, since I had him back up Ben during Lilly's questioning. Ben, noting his silence, pleas for words and forgiveness, which made the whole thing more "real" in my eyes.

I have not played a full silent play-through, though, as I only chose the "..." options where I saw fitting. If you experienced some great scenes with the silent options, do tell!

Ep 2 when you open the door in the barn and Andrew St. John comes behind you and says "Didn't you hear the bell boy? Dinner time."

    Stay silent and observe XD

    I did try that option.

I loved how Lee just scratches the back of his head like, "Well, this is awkward."

I like using silence for shocking stuff too. Being told that everyone turns to a zombie and also when the dying girl asks for the gun are two great opportunities to play up Lee's horror.

I only used the silent option once that I recall. That was in Episode 3
after Lee runs into the woods with Kenny after the gunshot. (I had said Kenny should be the one to do it, which led to him staying behind)

There's a nice silent moment in Ep2 when you're hiding in the stall and Kenny says "this is no time to freeze up". Everyone who's decided Larry wasn't beyond help knows why that ends up bitterly ironic.
