Same here. At 0%. I always had connection losts while downloading the episodes, but they at least tried to download a few minutes before stopping.
Windows 7 64bit, bought from telltale store.

Same story here. I've emailed support and will post their reply.

Same issue here. I think their servers are out of capacity or something :)
Will have to wait a bit further.

I'm glad I'm not the only one this is happening to =_= but seriously I got to the 83% when this happened and when I try to redownload it it goes back to 60% gets to about 83% again and then does the exact same thing =_= there really should be an alternative download source for those who bought the season from telltale directly especially as it would save them money not to need a middle man

OK, I tried uninstalling (saved the folder from documents just in case) and NONE of the episodes will download, even the ones I have already played.

This suggests that the problem originates with TT. It's about 5pm in their part of the world right now and I guess they have gone home without fixing the problem.

    Not happy. Really, really unhappy.

    Same issue here :/

Count me in. Same problem. D'ya know the curious thing? We bought the game and we're stuck without any solution by developers, like people having problem with savegames without Telltale giving them any support; but in the meanwhile, those who illegally downloaded the game and cracked it are playing and having fun without any issue.

Congratulations, Telltale. Should I assure the same quality to my customers, I would starve.

...but it often destroys savegames, according to many complaints. So, I'm glad it worked for you, but no, thanks. Add to this that Telltale is legally obliged to support its product, unless it wants to refund people.

Amazingly bad and unstable game that unfortunately ruins the wonderful game play. Installing part four doesn't work and a workaround should NOT be needed for such a basic game.

i said victory to soon. It worked the first time, now it doesn't anymore :mad:

Nope, still not working for me... Guess I'll try tomorrow..
Shame on Telltale for not letting their customers know what the heck is going on...

I had this kind of problem with ALL the episodes, except the first one of course.

God this is just so boring and irritating.

The game's awesome, but the poor techical quality of most of TT games is getting on my nerves.

At this, you can add the FACT that we hardly have a reply telling us how to fix our problems in ANY thread we open

I am having this too...MAJOR PISS OFF! It is unbelievable, i mean wtf? They have shitted on us this whole time.
  • edited October 2012
It is unbelievebale that even a day after the realease it is still not fucking fixed, nice job. I cannot play my favorite game. ALL because of this bullshit that i dont have "internet connection"

yeah it had done that to me before too, then it showed up and i was so happy and than it said "connection lost" i am sick of this crap ._.

what a piss off, i downloaded once already, then it freezes right as i was starting and then i lost everything, made a backup file though, UNFUCKINGBELIEVEBLE telltale, ive had enough

Hey TT! Are you going to fix the problem or just keep ignoring everyone? I paid for this product and I want to use it. In any other line of retail this would be unacceptable. Fix the problem, make a statement regarding the problem or give us our money back. A little professionalism would go a long way in this situation.

Ive emailed them as well...Ill post here their reply (when I get it)..Im on same boat.

It's not your connection that sucks. This situation sucks!

There are many of us facing the same problem

FINALLY got it fixed. Used a proxy to manually download the files with the links from the Inofficial Fix thread and pressed GET, it jumped to installed right away and my save files are intact. Although I'm seriously considering not buying seasonal Telltale Games anymore and go with them once they're fully released.

    Lot of bitching around here!
I really LOVE Telltale eversince they released Sam an Max Season one and I always experienced TT as very reliable and with a great support. It's the first time the don't release a Game on shedule.... Too bad you can't play this game right now... But remember: Telltale is the CREATURE of the Game you want to play. I'm sure the are working on it. Yust be patient!. And for the record... even though this is an episodic game and we all paid for it. it is not the first Time in Videogame history that you can preorder a game and then it's not releades on time. It happens ALL THE TIME. This issue is anoying.. I know. You want help? You should get Help! You should ask for it, but why not be polite? If you are friendly people like to help you. If you keep beefing around you make people wish you'd choke on it.

Something you say is right, something's not.

All TT games have techical problems, not just some of them.

Too many people asked for help without been answered, polite or not.

Great support you say? You must have been lucky

"I'm sure the are working on it" you say. I say they're problably not.

This problem downloading TWD exists since episode 2.

And the problem's still not solved.

Why should we suppose they'll fix it now?

"Telltale is the CREATURE of the Game you want to play"
Yes, that's right, but not the only one. And we must be sure to give our money to the right one.

"It's the first time the don't release a Game on shedule"
Yes, this can happen to any company. Tough other companies give official announcement of it, they don't just change the date on the website

    Something's gotta change, soon.

Really TT, I love you and your work but this thing can't go on like that. You're getting bigger, so try to be big in everything you do

Since I could download the files over a proxy server, I'm positive that there is a routing problem going on with their server and between our ISPs.. I'd suggest folks to use a proxy server to manually download the PC files from the links in the fix thread.. Worked like a charm when I used a proxy instead of trying to connect by my ISP. Finished my 1st playthrough without decision importing or other issues.

if you preordered you should have gotten a steam key from telltale, which let's you download the game no-problem. I couldn't download through my telltale install so I did this and it worked. Seems like it has the same save data as the other install too (haven't actually started the game yet but I can see them from the "play game" screen at least).
For those of you without the steam access, I'm sure telltale are working hard at fixing the issue (no reason to believe otherwise). But like all other humans they probably want to go home at the end of the day, so don't be fascists about it :)
