Lee: Alive or Dead? and some few other Explanations/Questions!

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
Been reading a lot of posts in regards to whether or not lee dies, but some things for me are a little odd! For starts we all know Lee got "bitten" but the odd thing about that is lee was not showing any kids of sickness when he got to morgue. I would Imagine that the morgue is not a 5 min walk from the house. From watching the series (and Duck even tho he was a child) that lee would start showing signs of sickness with in roughly 1-2 hours of being bitten (as we noticed with Duck the effects were almost Immediate and of coarse if you die you "comeback" within minutes of die as we saw with Shane) I have a Few Theories:
1. Possibly Lee is one of the few people who are Immune to the disease ( doesn't mean hes the key to a cure or anything ) as over time some bodies adapt faster to a disease than others do.
2. The bite did not break skin/go deep enough to affect his blood stream because i really could not tell if the blood was his or the zombies plus lee was more concerned about finding Clementine than his "wound"
3. The wound is very insignifcate and that's way the process takes longer

Will Lee survive? I could see Lee surviving but not going on the boat I think only Kenny will go on the boat(if you and kenny are not on good terms) or will have the option to get on the boat. If you stay behind whoever is left of the group ( I firmly believe some one will die in Episode 5) you walk away and season 2 will be finding "safe" place or you on the run during the winter ( I think holly will rejoin the group in season 5 and possible go with you at the end ( if she lives ) I cant see them killing off lee because i think that is really predictable and provide a "meh will i saw that coming" attitude for the next episode.

Tell your opinion on what you think could or will happen in the next Episode!

RK said specifically there is no immunity. Even if it wasn't a Bite a scrape is still very infectious.

The time you come back VARIES. Watch the show listen to Jenner. 2 minutes to a couple hours.

You absolutely see it starting to effect him. After they realize Vernon and his pals are gone from the morgue, Lee leans on the table with his head in his hands. Seems like some people just took that as him despairing, but I definitely saw fatigue and sickness in his posture and mannerisms there. He was starting to feel the effects of the disease in their earliest forms.

But that would be pointless. The game does not follow the tv show's logic at all. It follows the comic books.

The comic logic is the same in terms of bites.

    Comic spoilers!
When Dale was bitten in the comic, it was HOURS before he showed signs of sickness. He had time to fight off the walker that bit him until the night where he roamed off into the woods by himself. That's when he was captured by the hunters, who found out he'd been bitten and dumped him off back at the church Rick's group was holed up in. It wasn't until the day after he'd been bitten that he dies and has to be shot before he reanimates as a walker.

Lee could potentially have a day before he becomes too weak and dies from the bite, especially considering it's in a nonessential place like his wrist and will take longer to spread through his body. Most bites are in a fatal location, like the neck or body.

Where does it say scratches are the same as bites? Is it in one of the responses at the end of a comic? I would like to know where this came from

I never noticed it that way before, because i completely took it as an act of desperation!

Yeah i was bit hesitant about that one too, just because I have never seen really anything that states scratches are as bad as bites.

And i agree season 2 would suck without lee and Clementine!

I really think the boat as a Permanant solution is a bad idea! Maybe a temporary solution just to get out of the city as well as you could make some make shift fishing rods for fish and stuff, but the size of that boat probably not a good idea to stay out there untill it all "gets better".

The second episode of the show this season showed that scratches infect (well to be fair we never saw the infection come to pass but yeah its like fact) i would much rather have lee bit than scratched...already bad we gotta die but because of a scratch...way lame:p

ok, its simple. Lee and the gang run into the Fringe division, and Walter and Paul find a way to cure or make the disease dormant.... In case some of you didnt get the reference google the tv series Fringe.

Maybe Lee will chop his hand off to prevent the infection and with the medical supplies the team have possibly Lee will survive like Hershel did in the recent episode of the tv series.

Notice that Rick did that immediately after Hershal was bit. THAT is the only reason he lived. In the comics(what the game actually goes off of), a similar scene has happened 3 times. One was basically 1:1 of the tv show, but it was a different character and he wound up dieing because Rick reacted too late. Another where Rick was right there to chop off the limb that was bitten and the guy lived, and another were Rick was off by about a minute and he died.

It's been at least a half hour since Lee was bit. Amputation will no longer work.

By his reaction to the bite, Lee knows he has very little time left. He's a solid, stand up guy who's made up his mind to do WHATEVER its gonna take including giving his last ounce of life to see Clem safe. And sadly , since there are no happy endings here, it seems that that is what its going to take.
  • there is a chance because at hershals farm he says if you are bitten we will have to cut the body part off and in the walking dead season two i forgot what his name is got bitten and had to cut it off and wasn't infected

Also, Lee is 100% dead, no question about it, he's gone forever, get over it.
