Did I miss the part Where...

Did I miss the part where Christa's pregnancy is actually revealed? They drag it out for three episodes only for Lee to make one throw away comment about how shes doint something (dont remember what) for two.

We could just assume that Lee figured it ou on his own, because by now who hasn't? But thats weired because Christa and Omid dont really react to that comment.

I don't know, just felt it was odd.

It could very well mean she's pulling the weight for her and Omid because he has a leg injury. He's also not a big fighter or gunho type of guy, she's more forceful sorta like a very mild Michonne. Here's the circumstantial evidence from the wiki.

Fans speculated that Christa was pregnant since her introduction; this is finally revealed in Episode 5: No Time Left. It was hinted at several times:
    • She shows a strong interest in Clementine and scolds Lee a bit for a perceived lack of adequate care for her well-being.
    • Her conversation with Omid early on hints that they expect something significant to happen in their future and that they will need a group for it.
    • Omid's reaction for seeing Clementine the first time and what he says if he's rescued first in the train, "She's a woman! Don't you know..."
    • When Lee tries to take off the collar of a dead dog, the dog's head fell off. Christa then vomits, leading Clementine to ask if she is okay. She said she was fine and it's just the smell that got to her, but Omid thought she was lying.
    • When Lee, Vernon, and Christa finished watching a video tape about Anna's pregnancy and her required abortion, Christa cries. Lee asks her if she is alright and she says yes with a lying tone. She then comes up with an excuse, saying that "it's just hard to watch."
    • In Episode 4, when Lee finds a sonogram on the floor of the nurse's office in Crawford's school/headquarters and asks what it is, Christa answers in a tone of familiarity, indicating that she's had a sonogram test somehow or sometime before.
    • In Episode 5, Kenny offers to give Christa some alcohol. Christa refuses and looks down at her stomach for a few seconds then suddenly grabs it and drinks quite a lot of it. Kenny looks at her in a peculiar way.
    • When Lee refers to when Christa was thinking about taking a drink, she says it was nothing, then Omid will ask what they're talking about, but they continue to the hotel.
    • Also in Episode 5, before crossing the sign towards the Marsh Hotel, Lee will state that Christa is "walking for two".

    Pretty much. Just sloppy writing.

I thought I'd missed some part of the conversation. She never actually revealed it to me, then 10 minutes later Lee mentions her walking for 2 and it's completely brushed off as nothing.

They really baited it but didn't pull on the line. Although I loved the game overall, that was certainly sloppy writing.

    It's just implied

I don't think I would go that far. It's hard to reveal things and still maintain a level of ambiguity to maintain some mystery. Like I said it could be a false lead, perhaps she's really not pregnant but things just appeared that way if you ASSUME she is.

Maybe she is and Lee knows, tried to out her and it didn't work? idk. She does mention Lee doing a good job telling them he was bitten, but then when the bottle is passed around she doesn't fess up equally, assuming that she is pregnant. She takes the easy way out, takes a rip off the bottle and carries on.

I don't think it's sloppy writing. We just didn't need to know about it in season 1. Season 1 was about Lee and Clem, revealing that she's pregnant may have changed the way of playing the game for some people. Focussing on both Clem and Christa, instead of being focused on Clem.
I'm pretty sure they're keeping it for season 2, since I'm sure we'll see Omid and Christa again.

I think that was less about her trying to keep her cover and more about her really needing a drink at that moment.

I'm pretty sure the cat came out of the bag as soon as she took the drink. I know for certain that, at the very least, Kenny figured it out.

Like many things that were built up only to be abandoned, the pregnancy was terminated :D

though seriously, it seemed like it should be an issue but there just wasn't time to deal with it plus it wouldn't really needed to be dealt with until it was born which wouldn't possibly happen for some months. what I wonder though, is if she was pregnant before the ZA or got pregnant during.

It did feel odd. I'm pretty sure Christa is pregnant from all the clues given in e3-e5 but it felt like a scene where Christa breaks down a little and tells Lee that she is pregnant was cut from the episode. Then Lee just says later on "you're walking for two" which also should have been cut or else it would be confusing like it is now.

I think it became quite clear, that she is pregnant in the episodes 4-5.

Just because they don't spell it out for you (well, with all the clues, they practically did), doesn't mean the characters don't know.

For all we know, in the time between episodes or scenes they might have had full conversations about her being pregnant. Just because we didn't see it happen doesn't mean it didn't.

Yeah, it's like with Mark in episode 3. He could have been with the group for most of those 3 months that passed in between the episodes. How he joined the group is hinted and teased at but the characters already know so they don't talk about it.

It's fairly obvious she was pregnant, though i do wish it had been further explored than just one line.

I actually took the "You're walking for two" as he meant Clémentine and Christa (like, she has to stay safe to be able to take care of Clementine). I'm probably wrong though

Could be; could be a loose thread; or it could be that that audience was never meant to know.

but with all the implied info it would have been nice to have that story thread tied up before the end.

or maybe we were meant to take the drink of the whiskey as a answer to if she was pregnant or not.

It follows the line about Omid's leg as reasons for not going first. I think he would have put Omid in that same category if he was talking about staying safe for Clementine, since he and Christa are pretty much inseparable.

"Sloppy writing" this definitely wasn't. "Sloppy" implies that this story thread was just forgotten somehow. On the contrary, it was definitely purposeful that there wasn't that big Christa pregnancy revelation scene but still hinted at in abundance in episode 5. In light of all the problems the group had, a childbirth that is at least five months in the future just did not really have that much of an urgency for Lee & company. It was defining for Christa as a character that she never talked about this, and it was defining for the rest of the group that they never addressed it although it was pretty much clear to everyone; and it was defining for the zombie world that her pregnancy had to take a back seat as events unfolded.
