Oh dear. I just realized that I've been a mod on here longer than I was a normal user. I've been a mod for about two years and four months. I won't hit four years on the forums until the end of October.

I...I don't know what I think about this.

I can't help but smile. I looked up the temperatures you guys are getting right now. Aaaand... this is so cute.
Allow me to return this comment in about six months.
Neither of you can say anything to me. I live in New York, where we get 95 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit weather in the summer and below 0 F (-1 F to -15 F, and lower with the windchill factor) in the winter.

Yeah... I really need to move.

There are certain regions in Germany, where people always complain about the weather.
Honestly, I met someone a few weeks ago when it was about 60 °F. He complained about how it was too cold for june and wanted real summer.
When I met that same person last week, he complained that it was too hot and he could not sleep at night. And I bet that if I'd met him last weekend, he'd have complained about getting drenched in rain.

I've had to reapply for student finance today as it turns out that the previous application I put in has somehow been messed up on their system and hasn't been fully processed. The annoying thing is that I asked them about this back at Easter and they said they'd sort it and now it's nearly August and nothing has been done nor had there been any indication that there was something majorly wrong with my application on the student finance site.

Just hope it can all be sorted before I need to move to London in less than eight weeks. I should at least get the maintenance grant and loan, it's the tuition fee loan that could be problematic. I'm fearing that by the time the new application is processed and judgement is pronounced that I'll have a few weeks to some how find £9,000 to pay for the first year of the course.
Usually universities are a little lenient with payment deadlines if the fault is on the student finance end. They usually mess things up.

Indeed, the actors are far more... sweaty. :p

Idiots. I only complain about the summer. I hate it. I love my winter temperatures (but could honestly do without the snow EDIT: and Christmas. Christmas sucks too).
Favorite time of the year: autumn.

    YES!! YES!! That's it.

Granted, my temperature perception is perverted. I can go an entire winter without turning the heating on (16°C / 60.8F is way enough for me, and the my retired neighbors keep heating up my apartment) while as soon as summer hits 23°C/73°F, the only thing I can do is lie on my couch watching DVDs.

Oh, that one is great. I seem to remember it involves a great deal of Wolverine repeatedly pranking Grey Hulk.

I think after "poppy seed salad" the chance that this would be in some way linked to Donkey Kong in a somewhat meaningful way was severely diminished.

A Massive crush is when an Ogre hits you really hard whilst being in Love is when an evil Witch uses a magic spell

OK, new rule - anyone posting that phrase gets a temp ban.

I MAY be serious about this. Try me and find out.

    OK ... what about ...

Being in love is what happens when Hulk meets Betty Ross.
Massive crush is what happens when Betty's dad shows up.

I was, obviously, joking about banning people.

    The smilies though...

Yeah, that's too much (and you knew it was before you even did it, Dashing). As Friar pointed out, us mods can edit posts, and I have in this case. Just... exercise a little restraint in future please.

You know, the power of editing other peoples posts isn't just limited to mods and admins. Legend has it that there is an e-talisman hidden in the bowels of this very forum, that will grant mod-like powers to all find it. However, most of the power drives most people insane. They are filled with an insatiable desire to find out what the difference is between a massive crush and being in love.

Wait, 1786 was two pages ago?

    :p

Roll on the 90's. They were awesome. The Spice Girls! AOL! Vengaboys! And of course, little old me.

Oh yeah, I found that awhile back and used it to temporarily turn myself, Comrade Pants, and Secret Fawful into mods until the sheer pressure of maintaining the alternate reality caused me to-- I mean, pshh... that's ridiculous. An e-talisman? Who would ever believe in something absurd like that?
  • edited July 2013
Oh, THAT talisman. Yeah, I used it once.

...it broke. I was too awesome for it to handle.

Wouldn't there be a giant galactic civil war once Frieza died? He was the ruler of most of the galaxy and his army was psychopaths who only worked togeather due to a fear of Frieza.

But they died not long after that. Well I think Cooler did it's hard to work out the time line with the movies.

Has anyone seen this movie in its entirety? What the hell is up with the villains!? Why do they want to fight women at the docks?

That usually gets old within weeks after modship. So you might indeed say that you're not aging as fast as other people do... :o
