Christa's Pregnancy
So, I've been roaming the internet. I found a rumor that says Christa's pregnant. Can someone tell me anything about this? The reason for people thinking this is true? PLZ I'm very curious. Like always.

Telltale gave slight hints that some players picked up
1) when Kenny offers her a drunk in the attic she looks down at her stomach for a couple seconds then takes the drink and drinks it.
2) she also says omid and her have big news coming up and will need the group for it. (Something along those lines)
In episode 4, after Lee picks up the dead dog, Christa vomits and she says that it's from the smell but Omid thinks otherwise and Christa shuts him up. After seeing the Anna Correa video, she begins to cry. In episode 5, when Kenny offers her some booze, she looks down and than she grabs the bottle and drinks it very fast and Kenny looks surprised. Before Lee separates from Omid and Christa, he tells Christa that she is walking for two. Yeah, this pretty much means that Christa is pregnant.
When Lee said she was walking for two, I thought she meant her and Omid. I'm so naive. I need to get better...
Its been hinted since ep 3 when her and omid were talking at the top of the ladder and talking about being fine until something....

AH AH love the seventh point, but I really like Christa and Omid, and I'm hoping to see their baby in season 2, I'm guessing Christa deis during childbirth and only omid appears with the baby...
oh come on...that's rough, I hope TT isn't a dick about Christa dying.
I think the big question is whether Omid knows or not. I mean ep 3 and 4 I thought he knew but in ep5 he seemed clueless about it.
Well Omid isn't exactly Einstein so it's a possiblity.
Christa coulda've kept the news from Omid, fearing he'd do something too rushed. You guys know Omid. What if he told Lee and the others? I'm sure Christa with all those problems doesn't wanna add up a baby. It's tough choice man.
I would like if both of them appear, I'm just saying as TT likes to make bittersweet scenes and that would be totally TT. Like Kenny appearing kind of crazed out ( if he's aliev) or Clem having to decide between saving someone she knew from season 1 and someone she meets on season 2 ah ah that's just how I think TT works :P

It's not likely that Omid doesn't know.
Doesn't Omid say this when you choose to save Omid in Episode 4: "She's a woman, don't you know...!", before he is cut off when Christa manages to climb back in the train.
Sounded like to me that he was about to say that "she's pregnant".
Not to mention when he says this when Christa says they're doing fine without more people for now: "For now? What about when..." before Christa tells him to stop it.
So I guess it's set. If Christa is pregnant, then Omid knows it.

I always thought it was obvious that she's pregnant. I saw that coming a mile away, pretty much called it when we first met them on the bridge. And yes, Omid knows.

Other than what happened to Mark, it's about the worse thing I can imagine :P and you know what? I don't think they wouldn't go there....

all speculation. no proof. All these theories have already been "debunked" on a different thread from a while back. It would be interesting though if sh turned out to have a kid in S2, unless we play protector again with Clem caring for the baby. That would be repetitive.

In my first playthrough, I noticed something was up in Episode 4, didn't realise it was pregnancy until "You're walking for two" in Ep5... Lee's smarter than me.
Baby born a zombie has been done. Miscarriage wouldn't be that much worse. You want me to spoil you on which movie I saw it in?
"Big sister" is an archetype seldom represented in video games, or even other media. Some examples off the top of my head: Septerra Core, Beyond Good & Evil. I'm not counting the creatures called 'big sisters' in BioShock 2, because they weren't not-quite-or-barely-adult nurturers and defenders, they were mainly just female versions of the Big Brother monsters.
Miscarriage would be much worse, considering the zombie is inside the mother. It would be like a zombie version of the chestbusters from Alien. O_o

That's a good idea for the story. I wouldn't mind if that happened. But I was hoping to see their baby, maybe Christa doesn't resist childbirth or something but the baby lives. In zombie appocalypse storys we allways have children and babys to simbolize the hope in a new world

Ah, yes. The case I mentioned had the mother also a zombie, therefore not on the menu. Gotcha.
I'm saying that it would be a variant on the protector theme that is rarely seen, so possibly not trite.

Clementine's abductor said she was 8, just turned it and that means that she was 8 when Christa was ''pregnant''. In season two episode 2 she has the option to say that she's 11 and the Walking Dead wiki confirms it. That means in 4 years she haven't had the baby.. wow that's long even for a game... The only two logical explanations are either she miscarried and they tried later (which was increeeeaaadibly dumb or they didn't pull it out fast enough) or she wasn't pregnant and well got pregnant
It wasn't four years.
Christa was barely showing in season one. Pregnancy lasts for about nine months and she had been well into it by the time Clementine reunites with her and Omid. It would have only been a couple months between the end of season one and the beginning of season two. The year and a half timeskip comes after they lose Omid, just before Christa was set to give birth (judging based on her size).
What quinnics said. Also Clementine's abductor said she just turned 9. It's only been about two years into the apocalypse in the game.
