Season Two: Thoughts
This is my personal feels and thoughts about the choices in The Walking Dead Season Two...
Game = Fantastic,
Choices = Hard,
Characters = In depth and explained well so far (well done for a first episode),
Overall feelz = Many feels. Make cry.
The Walking Dead's first episodic chapter of their amazing franchise is nothing short of impressive and creative, and I cannot wait to see more! Although I am pissed about a few of Telltale's choices (Omid for one: Why U do that TT?!) The story was fantastic and Clementine felt like she was maturing, but not in the way I originally thought: She is still a helpless girl. A trooper: Yes. Tough: Yes. Brave: Yes. But she is still helpless to the world around her, and I still have that protective instinct in me... and the first death scene I got, I felt so bad for Clem I had to pause for a minute or two to think. No other game has made me feel this way, and I am happy this game exists. Good job, Telltale.
There is one thing I am worried about in "All That Remains" and that is the choices: granted, the choices were hard to make, but they were a different kind of hard: I wasn't torn between decisions; I knew what decision I was going to pick, but both of the choices were bad, and one just happened to suck less than the other. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't mind those kinds of choices, but there weren't enough choices that left me torn between two things: Nick and Pete is a perfect example of such a choice. We don't need stats for choices that are hard to make but have an obvious answer; make stats for choices that has no obvious or right answer.
Anyway, how are you liking Season Two so far? What do you hope for in the future? Leave a comment below!
