Macon in AMCs twd

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

If michonne goes to Macon I would love if they put in at least 1 Easter egg from the show. so heres a few thoughts to what they could do if they don't add any characters from the game.
1. Everett Pharmacy. Name says it all, and theres quite a few things they could do with this.
2. The helicopter crash from episode 3
3. Lee's zombified parents. Just have an elderly black couple wearing similar clothes, it would be cool for those of us that have payed super close attention to that picture.
4. Lee's picture. Lee ripped his picture in half so it would be cool to have the other half of the picture in the show and have Clem have the other half
5. Lee's brother. this would be a simple one just have a sign on top of a walker with a nasty gash in his forhead.
6. Any more ideas? I know theres the whole comic show difference but who cares at this point seeing how lily isn't lily anymore. Maybe have an Asian man saying something about his brother Vince seeing as at the moment 400 days seems to have raised more questions than answers.
7. what you guys think?

NOTE: i was going to word this better but got lazy
EDIT: maybe show a Motor INN?

  • Even if it's something very small, Michonne finds batteries or something. I'd like to see it.

  • lol i just thought of her picking up a radio and seeing the batteries put in backwards and saying to herself. "what kind of idiot doesn't know how to put the batteries in the right way?" with her confused expression XD

  • I think the Everett Pharmacy is the best Easter Egg they could put there. It wouldn't be that hard from a production standpoint. (Well, as far as production goes for AMC, that is.) Just as long as they don't linger on it with a wink and a poke. The last thing you want an Easter Egg to do is be all "Did you see what we did there? Did ya? Huh?"

    One of Clem's drawings.

  • Lets be honest though, they could compeltely incorporate the pharmacy into the show, going in and looking for meds and everything, if they wanted to.

I don't know if they'll do this, unless both the Macon in the game and on the show are modeled after the real Macon.

I doubt they will, Since the TV show is in a different TWD universe then the comics and game.

I would love them for doing this. It would be so nice for at least one of the medias to acknowledge the game. And if Kirkman can't be bothered to add a small reference to the game into his comics (and I am pretty sure he won't), then I would be more than happy to see at least the TV show go that way. It wouldn't even hurt to add a small easter egg, and it would make a lot of fans happy.

  • Yeah even if they just caught a glimpse at a building with a helicopter through its roof would be a cool easter egg, even though the helicopter was an easter egg from the Jurassic park game they had (or so I heard) so it would be an easter egg inside of an easter egg and would be even cooler.

  • Yeah even if they're just walking around Macon and see Clems hat or something could be cool. since they're different universes you could assume clem didn't make it in amcs version, or something idk ive seen weirder easter eggs in different shows that don't neccesarily make since in timeline continuity.

  • I see an inception meme coming...

Constants and Variables, my friend. ;) Just because it is in a different universe doesn't mean there isn't an Everett Pharmacy.

  • same with the road carley was shot on, they did their homework so I wonder how accurate Macon was.

  • Glenn was already there right?

  • You could try google earth or maps.

  • IIRC, Glenn is from Macon and knows the lay of the land since he used to deliver pizzas all over town. Hell, if they wanted to put an Easter Egg/reference to the game, Glenn would be the perfect avatar to do that through.

  • Michonne said the reason that she was gonna go to Macon was hunting the governor. And considering what happened in episode 8 it's very unlikely will see Macon anytime soon, not impossible but highly unlikely.Plus, most of the action from now on will happen in the countryside.

  • DirtySlimyHairy is right, Michonne will not be going to Macon because she was caught by the governor before she could go. After that whole finale for the half of the season where Michonne escaped, she will most likely meet up with Rick and Carl, and they will go to Hershel's farm like in the comics. Then Abraham will come and tell them to go to Washington D.C. So I highly doubt a game easter egg will happen. Although my hopes are still up.
