Curious About Walking Dead S2 Gameplay

Okay I understand most of how to play but I'm wondering about the use of the inventory slots on the side of the screen when you play it. I mean you can cycle through the inventory, but what else can you do with. Does this feature allow to take out weapons freely or does it let you combine items in future episodes?

    no, Its just their to show you what you have. They don't carry weapons in there hands and whenever their in trouble with a zombie a zombie they can pull out a hammer. if they didnt show you in the inventory it wouldn't make sense

    Darn I thought that was the case since I remember back in season 1 you couldn't cycle through your inventory. Oh well, thanks guys.
