In this universe and story, the happiest ending that I see is Clementine dying peacefully in her sleep. Because, in TWD bad things are just going to keep happening to her, and the longer she lives the more people she has to watch die. Besides, there no saving humanity here anyway.
A good twist for the next season would be to have Clementine grow up, but be a crazy person because of everything that's happened or have her grow up into a Governor.
* A traditional happy ending is not possible.

Why would it be silly? Clem is a capable survivor and I don't doubt she could be but into a situation like that. And I don't mean "Save everyone" I just mean save whoever of the group is left by the end. I don't think it'd be that one sided either. Having her abandon others means letting go of the morals that she's held on to so far.
wouldnt it be a bit silly for the ''big choice'' in this game to be between having clem safe everyone or running off for her own safety? She… mores just a kid, it just sounds illogical for her to make such a big choice, and most people would wanna run away anyway so the choice would be quite one-sided.
Also in regards of getting a happy ending; there is never gonna be a happy ending to this; lee and clems parents are still dead and clems still seen some crazy shit. However, i kinda hope for a bittersweet ending at least. All the melodramatic, depressive ''nothing goes well in twd'' can get a bit tiring sometimes, as much as i love drama lol.
I guess we'll see what telltale does. I just hope we get a powerful ending. My biggest fears though for the ending are that clem either dies or becomes some carl/lizzie v.2
THESE are the kinds of things that I thought last season before being slapped in the face on several occassions by TellTale's writing. Ouch, TellTale. Ouch.
2) People are absolutely safe. There are no walkers. That's why I don't think happy ending is possible - as long as Kirkman isn't going to end entire story
A true happy ending is impossible, because as Molly says: "the dead always win." The concept of Pyrrhic victory is, in my opinion, the big overarching theme of the Walking Dead franchise as a whole. Humanity is fighting a desperate, rear-guard action against the walkers and each other. Almost every victory requires that a price is paid in life, limb or sanity. In the show, Rick and his group manages to kill the governor, but loses its home and many people in the process. Similar, in the game, the battle at the St. John's, the Crawford raid and even Clementine's rescue qualify. The closest you can get to a happy ending is probably a bittersweet one.
If Clem is alive and well, I'm happy enough, I suppose. A little bit of hope would be nice too.
There are only bittersweet resolutions in Robert Kirkmans Walking dead world. As inconsistent as their programming and gameplay can be, Telltale have handled narrative in this series exceptionally well, and i dont imagine them straying from the cannon vision of the world too far.
We're probably going to get one more season out of the Walking Dead game, and my feeling is that the ending (or endings) of Telltales story will probably be ambiguous and left up to the players imagination. The "happy" ending just might be clementine simply surviving to the finale of the game.
i sometimes feel like telltale should have ended season 1 with lee getting lost from clem or something, and in season 2 everything stays same expect that we dont know what happened to lee. Then everything goes to shit, but episode 5 would end with clem and lee getting reunited. That would be the best ending ever, but obviously thats not gonna happen now I just hope we get an ending where clem is alive and hasnt turned into a psycho, but i trust telltale to make an excellent ending. We still have 3 episodes left so its hard to say how things are gonna end
ROFL! By the way I just tried the demo; it's interesting but not addicting for me, I think I buy a season pass for it sometime Episode Four's release so I don't have to wait as much.

The most probable scenario with Larry would be that his head would be severaly deformed (almost flat) but the part of the brain he actually uses was not damaged by the saltlick. (Implying he doesn't need a full brain to be Larry, just some random tissue)
I love it tempted to do a thread just going through every character that died coming back lol
Kenny: I smashed your head with saltlick ye… moret you have not a scratch on you what happened
Larry; I got lucky
Kenny: Seriously how even have head that's not even possible
Larry: I SAID I GOT LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!

I like KirstyJ´s Idea of a governor-like clem in season 3.
But what exactly her psychological trauma does with her (a new governor, or a person like michonne who trust nobody) should be the players decision.
Furthermore - let much people dy is standard at TWD, but on my mind the tv-series have the advantage thet they have time to link the people emotional to a larger group than it´s possible in a game, but on this way, amc has it easier to let much persons die.
Maybe you, telltale, see a way to compensate this disadvantage, with letting people disappear like you´ve done it with Glenn, Lilly, Christa and Kenny, more time to speak about the past of a person or with another way i don´t see.
Comments
definitely agree
I don't think so, but i hope....
I don't wanna see Clem (and/or) Luke death(s). If Clem and Luke would die in same time... That would be saddest ending... I don't wanna this.
I hope Luke and Clem find a safe place, where they can live happy for long time, but this is only a false dream.
CLEM AS THE GOVERNOR SEASON 3!!!!!!!!!!

1) No. I agree with Kirkman.

3) No idea
I would be happy with another bittersweet ending as long as it does,t involve a dead clem.

Woodsman is that you?

If Telltale's the Woodsman, then I'm Bigby waiting for the next episode.

It's addictive, alright. Can't say for sure if it's better than TWD yet but I can say that at least it's not worse.

The action scenes are very well done. I personally love Bigby's character, lotta' possibilities with TWAU.
I find it easier to play as Scumbag Bigby than Scumbag Lee or Evil Clem. XD

No happy endings. This is The Walking Dead. Even Rick will get it someday.
Does it ever feel weird when you see an old thread like this, and realize half of the people that posted in it aren't even around anymore
Granted, I haven't had an account here for that long and I didn't really know many people here, but it still feels weird
To quote Ramsay Bolton, "If you thought this had a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."
