Why did they stay so close?
If we are to believe Carver when he says that he lives not too far from the cabin, why did the group decide stay so close to where they had escaped from? Carlos says he is the leader of a camp not too far from here. They would have a better chance of not being found if the group didn't hide effectively right under Carver's nose. If he's as dangerous as they say he is, just seems strange that they wouldn't want to get as far away as possible, they are quick to do so when he finds them.

i guess maybe we are led to believe that the group escaped them like the day before clem met them you got a good point if i was the group i would have kept going
Yeah, maybe. Probably nothing to it, but it just seems strange. Not as if they couldn't travel.
Good question.. maybe they didn't wanna risk leaving behind the cabin to find someplace better? I mean, it is a pretty nice cabin. And they may not find anything like it for a long distance. Or perhaps they had only left Carver's settlement recently and the cabin was a temporary housing. Personally, I would've camped out further if I were them, just seems silly to stay so close nearby to the guy they're trying to get away from. Even if it's temporary.
Maybe he was lying?
