I can agree with s3, I think s4 is pushing it. But after they give Clem a proper sending off (a happy one crosses fingers) I have no quarrels with another story. Nate would be a fucking awesome one to follow!
Sorry, should have worded my comment better. I meant the comics and game were roughly at the same point in time, as in taking place the same year. My bad.
I've been looking through the comics, and I could only find two winters. The one at the very beginning (Volume 2) and the one that starts in… more Volume 15. Apparently there is no indication of the third winter yet.
The game is now entering the third winter. The first was starting at the end of season 1. The second was inside the 16 Month timeskip, obviously.
So the game seems to be a few month ahead of the comic?
I get what you are saying but I personally would not want to play a whole new season with Clementine exactly the same as she is now. That's what made this season so exciting and fun for me, seeing Clementine grow up. What more could she do that we havent seen? Id prefer to see more progression of the character. We probably wont get that because its tied to the comic continuity, unfortunately. If Clementine cant get older, then I wouldnt mind playing as another character.
It just offers such a unique perspective on things playing a kid in the apocalypse. Where else do you get that? In 10 years of comic the sto… morery only progressed 2 to 3 years. Lets hop it stays that way, so Clem won't grow up that fast.
Big timeskips are a waste of opportunity for interesting stories. Although the one at the beginning of S2 was completely necessary. Once there is a timeskip in the game, we can't ever go back. In a game of choice and consequence it would be really weird to play the story out of order, save for small flashbacks maybe.
For me The Walking Dead (Game, TV and Show) works because we stay with the characters. We know what happened to them from the start for the apocalypse to where they are now. I'd like for the game to follow this path, too.
Everyone says that it is inpossible to see clem older dan 14 or 16, but at the end of this season they can have the credits and then a short… more clip from Clem sitting on some stair outside, and smiling and being older. This way it won't be any problem because we don't know what happens around her, so it won't interfere with the comics, if Kirkman decides all the zombies suddenly died, then we can assume Clem is being happy because everything ended and she is allright, or if the walkers are still around, she could be happy because she is in a good community now, or something like that.

What if Kirkman ends the comic with no survivors?
She is now 13.
