What happened to the backpack?

In the episode, we never see the backpack that supposedly had the pictures from episode 1. Will we ever see them again? I figured the pictures would have a much huger effect on the story.

  • I'm right there with you. I was expecting the Cabin Crew to go find their backpacks before leaving.

Although, if I recall, Clementine removed the pictures of Lee and Kenny's family from the bag, and put them in her pants pocket. So either they were lost in the river, or she still has them, but the game refuses to acknowledge that.

  • I thought that she had lost them in episode 1. If she had them in her pockets and fell into the river more than likely they are ruined. A few minutes in water would ruin them.
  • Btw can Clem really burn the photo or the picture?

Yes, you can actually burn the photo or the picture. I burned them both on separate play throughs.

JK. I think she left it at the ski lodge, because she left it by the bench, and she wouldn't have had time to pick it up since they were being taken to the truck.

You can't burn the photo of Lee, Clem gets interrupted by the scavengers before she can burn it.

  • Probably in her back pocket, lol.

Hopefully if they're still there (and you if didn't throw them in the fire) you can look at them again in Ep.5 maybe? (Quick second example but say you can show Kenny the picture you drew long ago of him and his family or you can choose to look at Lee's picture again)

  • i was wondering what happened to the backpack, as well. this is part of something i REALLY dont like about the episode. carver's group would have tried to take everything they could. the way walter was talkin about their supplies, not bringing them would have been a waste. but HOW did they move the stuff? with all the travel through the woods along small paths, how the hell the did carver manage to get a caravan of vehicles to follow them for 5 days and then make the trip back?

i had actually started makin a post where i tried to list off things that could have had an impact on something eventually, here's my item list.

    Items
Juice box- gone after episode 1.

water bottle- give to guy at river or pete. neither affect outcomes, and disappears by episode 3 if you held onto it. (backpack)

watch- give to nick or dont. vanishes in episode 3 if you held onto it. (backpack)

picture/drawing- burned or put into pocket and never seen again. possibly lost in the same void that Lee's pocket went to.

lighter- held in episode 2, gone in episode 3. (was in pocket, possibly confiscated)

CD- if you held onto it in episode 2, will not resurface as an option for music over the PA. (possibly was in pocket and confiscated)

Backpack- taken away in/left by episode 3, unknown whether magic *cough* err plot holes *cough* i mean whether or not somebody else happened to pick it up.
