What type of character did you chose?

"My bigby" is very nice to his friends, but extremely cold and violent towards people he dislikes.

How about you guys?

  • Mine is nice, but harsh

  • My Bigby is similar to yours in many ways - he's mostly pleasant to those he respects or enjoys the company of (such as Snow, Colin and even Toad and, as of late, Woody) but is incredibly hostile to those he doesn't respect -- and feel are a burden on Fabletown (so Georgie, Jack, etc).

Despite that, I feel my Bigby does care for the people of Fabletown but his deep-rooted aggression and poor people skills inhibit his desire for being more peaceful, pragmatic and kind; he wants to help, to be treated with respect and love like any good leader, but feels he must respond brutally to anyone who outright opposes his rule - so the Tweedles. E.G My Bigby tore off Gren's Arm and killed Dum as a message for Fabletown: Don't. Attack. The. Sheriff. Obey the law.

So, yes, in conclusion - my Bigby is as nice as he can be to the people he's fond off, but hostile and often dryly droll to those he dislikes or outright despises. He has a good heart, but it's worn down by a darker side that can't help but come out. In the end, I feel he'll be merciful when he can, protect those he loves, but certainly be willing and able to tear throats and bash in skulls, should it come to that...

  • My Bigby is kinda sarcastic to friends but raises his voice in appropriate situations, he isn't a jerk all the time, but every time he sees something like [glass him] he does it. When ever he gets the chance to get physical he starts ripping off arms, tearing throats out, squeezing etc.

  • My original file started Bigby out as a nice guy, but I think all the stress is getting to him, as he's developed a mean streak and a tendency for violence. He tends to hit people when the chance presents itself, and is conflicted between his obedience to Snow and his craving for destruction. While ultimately not a bad guy, he has a very small limit for bullshit.

My second file, on the other hand, started Bigby off a bit more gruff than the first, though over time he's become a really nice guy. He wants to help everyone out, even if it means bending the rules a bit. Chaotic Good may not be the best alignment for a sheriff, and as a result this Bigby is starting to give less and less of a fuck about following Snow's by-the-book orders and more about doing what he feels is the right thing.

Believe it or not, I've been nice since the first episode. I'm trying to avoid the whole 'big bad wolf' people associate him with. Hopefully this won't bite me in the ass during the final episode!

I'm playing Bigby as just a guy trying to do his job as best he can. I'm not a jerk, but I don't particularly care about getting people to like me. I know who I am. Everyone else can make up whatever opinion of me they want. I'll just do what I feel I need to do to get the job done. Sometimes that means ripping some fucker's arm off. Sometimes that means being nice to scared little kids to get them to trust me.

  • The rough type is slowly embracing his bestial side. He won't be a complete monster by the end, but he won't be afraid to pull another Tweddle Dum.

I try to play him as the authority he represents. and try to avoid excessive violence, always try to restrain myself, because of what people remember of the old Big Bad Bigby.
