Duck wasn't stupid, He was very enthusiastic and always wanted to help. I let him be my detective side-kick and he was very useful. Sarah has no potential, AT ALL!
Well, That's because she was just a 9-year-old girl. BUT she had potential to be grown and developed in order to create a badass. "Clem in S2". Sarah would never have such development.
Ok ya she want in the tee house, but what would happed happened if lee didn't come? 2would Clem have garbed a knife and go out I her own? No. She would have ended up like that little boy in the attic.
Clem and Sarah are FUNDAMENTALLY different in nearly EVERY way, even when Clem was still sheltered (which she probably wasn't by the time Lee found her, and definitely not by the end of Starved for Help). Clem was able to fend for herself and save Lee by bravely bringing him the hammer. I have a hard time imagining Sarah doing either of these things.
How about the St. John's butcher room? Do you think Sarah would be able to swallow her fear like Clem did and save the rest of the group? No, she would have completely panicked and lost her mind and Danny would have been on top of the group in two seconds. I'm so sick of people saying, "Oh she's just a little girl like CLEMENTINE!!!". Not true, even Sarah's father says point-blank that Sarah is different and can not function in the world like Clem does. If you people won't even listen to the girl's damn FATHER and STILL want to have her stick around to freeze up during berry picking or point firearms at people's faces without thinking, then FINE. I can almost guarantee that she is going to get somebody killed and by that point its going to be far too late to do anything about it. "Dur dur durrrr, I dunt thunk Clementine wuld huv accidentally shut Luke/Kenny/Bonnie/Mike in duh face... meybe she nut like Clem??!"
But honestly, folks. There is clearly something broken with the girl and we only have two episodes left to potentially teach her how to survive. Three episodes in and she can't even pick fucking berries off a tree. I helped her but it got Reggie killed, just.... COME ON, SARAH.
In 101 Clem was NO DIFFERENT than sarah. Clem wasn't ready for a world like that. She didn't know anything, she didn't know how to survive. … moreSO did lee just "give up" on her?! Did he just say "well she's a little girl that knows nothing about survival so she should just die"?! No, lee didn't say that. But your saying that right now. Your saying that just because Sarah ain't tough enough and the Sarah doesn't know how to surviv that she should just die. NO. She can be thought how to survive. Just like Clem was.
So people who say that we should just leave Sarah and not waste our time on her, think about what would have happened if lee did tha to clem.
Duck wasn't stupid, He was very enthusiastic and always wanted to help. I let him be my detective side-kick and he was very useful. Sarah has no potential, AT ALL!
Not really the time to chat, She's stupid and she doesn't know when to do what. She caused me and Carlos to be distracted from focusing on going through the walkers' herd into babysitting her, AGAIN.

I'm starting to see this thread as a place where everyone just starts arguing each other over opinions, I mean look at all the votes around here, it's ridiculous. It's a clash of brick walls that'll never tumble, we're just wasting each others' breathes. It's a fact the both sides will never see eye to eye on this subject, so fuck it I'm out.
Yup, that guy talking to Tavia on the radio suggested that Carver was never actually planning on letting Reggie back in. Which was actually one of the more messed up things about Carver, in my opinion.
I actually forgot that Sarah got Sarita bitten. That horde scene happened so fast I had to go back and watch it a few times. But ya, Sarah screams and nearly gets munched but Sarita jumps in and kills the walker and starts fighting and shit. I think Bonnie started firing Troy's AK-47 as well, did you guys notice anybody else start fighting?

Because I fail to see any valid reason to hate a naively innocent girl. Anyway, I'm done trying to reason with you guys. Go ahead and keep downvoting, but it won't change anything.
I can see why you say this, but realize you shouldn't hate her for these things, but blame her dad door sheltering her. All the things you said her because her dad sheltered her. So it's technically his fault.
Well, I explained a lot earlier. Depends on whether you're willing to listen or not. And for your information, I didn't downvote a single comment on this thread.

Ok. You say he's useless and cant be tough? Well when Clem got smack she stood up and said don't hit her, she's my friend.
Meaning she ca… moren get a hold of herself. She wasn't afraid to speak up. That's because she's getting out of that shell she was in.
Clem didn't know how to survive? I suppose that's why she hid in her treehouse. "They can't get up here". She recognized a weakness in walkers' motor skills and exploited it. She took a weapon with her. She left a walkie talkie in the house and took the other with her to communicate with anyone she saw enter the house while staying out of danger herself. True, she would have died if Lee didn't come along, but she clearly knew a thing or two about protecting herself. What does Sarah know?
Upon leaving the house, walkers were approaching them. Lee, Shaun, Chet/Andre try to move a car blocking their escape vehicle. Clem jumps in to help.
Anytime Lee would do something for survival's sake, he would explain it to Clem and she would catch on very quickly. If Clem didn't understand something, she would ask about it.
The issue isn't about what Sarah does or doesn't know. It's her responses to things. Even two years into the apocalypse, she sees guns as toys, and cannot handle a bad situation. Yes, this is mostly Carlos' fault, but that does not change the fact that Sarah is a burden. If anything, that makes it worse, as the damage is too ingrained in her to be undone. Letting her die my very well be for the best. She will not have to suffer the world's atrocities anymore, and we won't be held back by her inexperience.
My biggest issue with Sarah is her inability to take a step back and think. Clem approaches her with a huge gash in her arm asking for help, Sarah tries to get you to pinky swear to be her BFF. The group is captured by Carver, a man she has personally witnessed doing cruel things, and she feels it's appropriate to talk during one of his speeches even if you try to hush her. Then, when Carlos is forced to slap her, she dwells on the surface level of "my dd hit me". She cannot see deeper than the most basic details of a situation. Hell, seconds before Carlos actually hit her, she is apologizing to him as if it's something he decided to do. She completely ignores the fact that Carver ordered it and Carlos tried to talk his way out (rather poorly, but at least he tried something).
She has the mental capacity of a dog. If you were to catch your dog rooting through garbage, call them out by name and when they look at you, you yell "No!", the dog will only remember the latest details. They looked at you, and you yelled. This teaches the dog to avoid looking at you. It does not associate rooting through trash with punishment and may very well do it again.
You say Clem was no different? Sir/Madam, you could not be more wrong.

I love Sarah, she is such a sweetheart, and doesn't deserve to be treated like a piece of garbage. Why do you people hate her so bad? I thought i was cold, but i don't get it. How do you expect a sheltered fifteen year old girl to react to anything. She reminds me of a kid sister or someone that needs taking care of, and i played that role before as the dutiful protector. It is part of who i am as a person. After episode 3 i just wanted to break into Carver's camp myself and give her a hug after Carlos died.
She isn't no Jane, she is my buddy and i want her to be safe. She reminds me of how Clementine was in Season 1. I do whatever it takes to protect my GURLS.
This song i am linking pretty much is how i feel about Sarah/Clem.

As i said before, Clem evolved. But she had potential, Sarah doesn't. And if you have proof that she does have potential, I'm again very open to changing my mind.

Being sheltered like she was, can make her become very anti Social and immature. Trust me I know the there is excuse for hows she's acting.
In reality most of us would be Sarah we would scream if a fucking parent just got shot and torn apart by walker. So don't say "there's excuse for that behavior"
Well guess what...Clementine was a 8year old girl back then and the apocolypse has just started some days ago. Sarah on the other hand, is a… more 15year old teenager that lived in the apocolypse for over 2years already. Carlos obviously sheltered her but still, there is absolutely no excuse for her behaviour. I tried my best during the last 3 episodes to make her stronger, so she can finally grow the fuck up, but it didn't work out. Sarah is the reason why Sarita got bitten and will most likely die in the next episode (and she is also the reason why Reggie got killed). If Sarah will be a determinated character in the next episode (what she probably will be), that girl ain't gonna make it, in my playthrough.

Your wrong. Sarah definitely has alot of potential...Ben potential!

What are you talking about? I'm sorry but she does have potential. She just needs to be thought.
Not really the time to chat, She's stupid and she doesn't know when to do what. She caused me and Carlos to be distracted from focusing on going through the walkers' herd into babysitting her, AGAIN.
Yeah, because panic attacks are sooo easy to control, right?
Tell me a single situation where she acted correctly. Yes, She has a potential, A potential of failure.
You have a good point about Sarita but Carver said Reggie made a few mistakes before Clem, Kenny and cabin group arrived
As i said before, Carlos' fault, Not mine.
If you bother to teach her how to use a gun, she understands. You didn't, am I correct?
I'm starting to see this thread as a place where everyone just starts arguing each other over opinions, I mean look at all the votes around here, it's ridiculous. Do i really need to trust someone who never gets something right with a gun?
Trust me, Episode 4 will be for you if you want her to die so badly
So why are you still blatantly attacking her and not Carlos?
Yup, that guy talking to Tavia on the radio suggested that Carver was never actually planning on letting Reggie back in. Which was actually one of the more messed up things about Carver, in my opinion.

You should if you want her to grow up so badly, yes.
I'm attacking them both. However, You're portraying massive defense of Sarah, So i had to focus on her.
It's very entertaining to watch, that's for damn sure.
Not my matter of concern to teach her to survive. I'm not everyone's guardian angel. I don't believe in blind idealism.
Because I fail to see any valid reason to hate a naively innocent girl. Anyway, I'm done trying to reason with you guys. Go ahead and keep downvoting, but it won't change anything.
Okay, so lets assume that Sarah is Carlos' fault. Carlos is dead. What now?
Well, I explained a lot earlier. Depends on whether you're willing to listen or not. And for your information, I didn't downvote a single comment on this thread.
You are wrong!!!! I will make you see eye to eye!! Hey! Wait! Get back here!!!
This comment is Skylar Approved. xD
As I said before like 6 times. She can be tough, she just needs someone to teach her like Clem or Jane.
If you have proof, I'm very open to changing my mind. But you don't, So...
Ok. You say he's useless and cant be tough? Well when Clem got smack she stood up and said don't hit her, she's my friend.
Meaning she can get a hold of herself. She wasn't afraid to speak up. That's because she's getting out of that shell she was in.
Sarah is braindead(confirmed when talking to her in episode 3's first "hub")
Talking is something and doing is another thing, My friend.
To me it sounds like ur refusing the facts. I respect your opinions and thoughts on all this. But I'm done with this conversation. Thanks.

I think I saw Jane kill walker in that scene too.
THANK YOU !
Sarah realise's that she is a liability because of the sheltering and asks Clem, Luke or Kenny to train Sarah using a pistol or using a melee weapon
Being sheltered like she was, can make her become very anti Social and immature. Trust me I know the there is excuse for hows she's acting.

This comment. PRICELESS!
I apologize i didn't see it before, Was trying to portray reason with other people.
Evolved? LOL You make her sound like she is some sort of pokemon. She is a child who needs help, as a adult i understand that.
