  • I support ya

    nah

  • she watched his death in my play through and I don't regret it.

  • What do you think lee would do to clem :-)

  • Well, strangle her with a fiberwire.

Lee was reborn as a Number 47.

  • No, I didn`t make her watch. You may judge me, but I think it is sick.

  • We know Carver was a smart dude like Carlos said, and I think he wanted to make Clem watch his death to traumatize her, last Carver's smart action (anyway Clem can be smarter and walk away).

  • No, and I'm glad I didn't.

  • I said to Kenny "don't do this" and then I left with Sarita. I'm agreeing with Sarita on when she says "that's not the Kenny I know"

    I didn't.

  • I wanted to watch, but I didn't want my Clem to watch.

  • i made her watch that, this world is no longer for pussies you have to be hard and rough to survive. These things make you stronger.

  • When it came down to it carver had killed Alvin, Walter and Reggie Smacked me (Death stare) and injured Kenny. I was watching that shit go down

  • So basically, you wanted to make her like Carver?

  • carver wasnt a bad guy if you ask me its just this world has made him like that what he was and its not just him, look at what kenny did to him. Do you think he is any different now? and zombie Apocalypse made rick grimes (tv series) like that too. Obv i hope climenttne wont be as brutal as them but somehow you gotta follow that path to survive.

...Carver, the serial murderer, wasn't a bad guy?

And please explain to me exactly how staying to watch Carver die helps Clem survive? In my playthrough, she left with Sarita and her head didn't explode when she did so.

If you ask me, the entire point of season 1 was trying to prevent clem becoming a psycopath and changing into a wildly different person because of the apocalypse.

No, I don't think Kenny is different, but only because he has shown us that kind of brutality before, although in lesser form.

I couldn't miss it... I hated him too much... sorry, Clem...

I watched on accident. I wasn't paying attention and thought if I stayed I could stop Kenny. Was I the only one?

  • I decided to watch him get his head crushed, basically in blood rage.
He's caused so much shit, he murdered Walter and Alvin, and almost killed Kenny.

    I regret it, though.

  • I didn't watch it. I mean I wanted to watch it, but I don't think it would be good for Clem. I watched some playthroughs of it on YouTube, and I was surprised some people actually let her watch it. The look on her face was horrifying. She had a slight smile on her face, and that scared me. You have to remember she's still a little girl. She's 11. I'm trying to retain some of her innocence.

  • Really? I thought it was a grimace. Like she's going back and forth between "this is disgusting" and "asshole deserves it".

  • I watched, but not because I wanted to watch. I didn't know that Rebecca was staying with Kenny and I didn't want to leave Kenny alone in case some of the guards arrived, so I stayed.

  • You bet your ass I watched it. I had to spot for Kenny since he lost his stereoscopic vision - "no no, his face is forward and a little to your left Kenny!". Also, I didn't want to miss out on any possible Kenny-Clem hug opportunities.

She has seen worse IMO so I don't regret it either

she watched his death in my play through and I don't regret it.

  • what serial murderer? if you are talking about walt and alvin (determinant) they were killed in retaliation and carver didnt even wanted to kill them if kenny hadnt started it. Clem staying there to witness it was just to make her mentally strong because in a apocalypse like this you see these type of things every now and then, Carver was rash and hasty but he always had a reason even. I know Lee tried to keep clem away from these situations but its impossible to survive like that now and at the end of ep1 lee taught clem every possible way to defend herself and face harsh situations.

  • Personally, I wanted to see him die and didn't think his death would be so violent... so I stayed, but then I regretted it the moment I realized that Clem was most likely going to be scarred by it... I would be such a bad parent...

  • I still haven't seen Carver's death, and I never want to. I like leaving it up to my imagination. I'm behind Kenny 100%, and I almost stayed, but in the end if I don't have to witness a brutal murder, I won't. I wanted Carver to remember that (?) so he could die knowing the difference between him and Clem. She can handle it, but she doesn't enjoy it.

  • I stayed and I'd stay again, twice on Sunday. He was deserving of death, and I wouldn't condemn him to it without having the stomach to face it myself. Much like what Lee told Clem when he killed the St. Johns, Carver was bad.

  • I don't know I'm confused on the whole thing..

  • Really interesting point. Still, Clem isn't the one who condemns Carver...Carver is.

  • Anyone else notice how insanely tough Carver was? He might be an murderous asshole, but you gotta admit that he was insanely brave in the face of death. No begging or bargaining; he goes down completely unrepentant. The guy barely even makes a sound when Kenny kneecaps him.

  • Oh yes. I also wanted Clem to spit on his corpse.

When it came down to it carver had killed Alvin, Walter and Reggie Smacked me (Death stare) and injured Kenny. I was watching that shit go down

  • My Clem was adamant that Luke shoot him. I was the judge, she was the jury, Kenny was the executioner.

  • I feel like watching Carver die was sort of fulfilling his death wish, so in one playtgrough I stayes and in one Ieft. Carver must know that making Clem see him brutally killed would affect her in a way that he would want.

  • Yeah. Kinda wish Luke just shot him. It would've been cleaner and wouldn't have given him time or all that smug taunting.
