Wasn't Lee supposed to die when...
So, I was recently playing TWDG: S1E1 and during the scene where Lee's killing Sandra, her walker blood splatters everywhere. At the time, Lee has an open wound just above his knee, wouldn't the walker blood go into his wound? We know that it's confirmed by the comics that if walker blood goes into your bloodstream by an open wound, you get infected. So, did it go into the wound? Was it the slightest bit luck that it didn't? If it did, why didn't he die?

Well, no, because there was a 1-2 month gap between Episode 1 and Episode 2.
He wore pants, like all civilized people.you don't wear pants?
That doesn't make sense..? I wasn't talking about what happened between episode 1 and episode 2, It happened in the first 2-3 days of the outbreak, which is when he first meets Clementine..? I got no idea what you're on about.
His pants tore open.
Seems like he just got lucky and no blood went in.
I think the major infection is coming from their disgusting decaying mouth, blood maybe wouldn't be as effective.I mean you see them fighting those things and definitely some of its blood will goes inside their body
Your body is covered in microscopic cuts just from everyday activities, not to mention how many more you would have from roughing it in the apocalypse. if walker blood was as infectious as their bites anyone who fought close combat or even touched one would be infected. So blood might have gotten in but it must not have been as bad as the bite. After all, lee is already infected, he can't get infected again. it's probably just the rotten flesh and bacteria that kill you, and the human mouth is full of dangerous bacteria. The blood not so much.
But it's confirmed that in the comics, if blood goes into an open wound, you get infected.
That's true, but the infection goes into the bloodstream, so the walker blood is filled with bacteria and all that stuff. I think it was just an oversight.
No... you don't die when walker blood is spilled on a wound. It's not HIV, it's some weird shit that only kills you when it's convinient to the plot or you get bitten. Practically every character in TWD has had walker blood spilled on open wounds or their conjuntivas and didn't die. Regarless of what Kirkman said on the Letter Hacks, it just doesn't happen.
He got lucky. Real lucky.
And then he met Sarita thank god.
He wasn't exactly bathing in the blood. Yeah, it spattered on him, but when Hershel cleaned it out I think it was fine.
