I think american ciwil war are part of common world history. you may dont know about every US president, or whose faces at mountain Rushmore, or when gold rush started, but war between south and north for democracy and people free of slavery is thing-you-have-to-know.
It's weird how skeptical luke was of Mike when
HE BANGED JANE IN THAT EPISODE.
You meet Jane and Mike at the SAME time. Hell, Mike is more helpful/friendly and open before Jane is!
That's true. It was weird how skeptical Luke was of Mike when really he was the only one to accept Clementine at first when she was a newcomer, along with Pete
I got the impression Luke wasn't sure or not if Mike was helping them for the right reasons [as in if Mike was sucking up to the group for the sake being of being in a group, rather than caring about any of them.] although if Luke had been around helping Bonnie and Mike, he might've noticed Mike is friggin awesome! =D
But I've only heard the dialogue once, so I can't be sure.

Wow, reading the first page again...people were so unnecessarily harsh towards Luke, wtf.
I still think episode 4 sucked and it was pretty out of character for Luke to say that, but I never fully disagreed with his statement, Mike was just the new guy, much like Jane. I didn't completely trust either of them, but then again I did trust Bonnie.
In the end, the cabin group (especially Luke, the one who mistrusted Mike in the first place), Sarita and Walter were the only truly trustworthy people of season 2. (Not counting Omid and Christa).
EDIT: I have to admit, however, that saying that about Mike then banging Jane was pretty hypocritical of Luke, but as we found out in episode 5, he was an emotional wreck and whatever happened between him and Jane happened majorly because of his condition.

Luke can't tell a dog bite from a mosquito bite from a lurker bite.

I read this in Kenny's voice and laughed so hard my side hurt.
