Love, Lust, Loss, And Learning. {And Predictions for the Finale SPOILER}

Cue up Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. "What have I become. My sweetest friend. Everyone I know goes away in the end." I don't know If I just made EXCEPTIONALLY Poor choices. But here's how my game went down. Nick Died, Sarah pulled a Ben and Jane couldnt Kenny her out of her misery, Rebecca Died. And I inadvertantly kicked off the slaughter by killing her. Chances are Clem is going to be the only survivor. But I'm hoping Arvo survives too so Clementine can deliver brutal punishment and maybe even Otis him. {Cue people saying he was just an innocent kid manipulated into it] Had he just not said anything. He kept his meds in my playthrough all he lost was his gun. If he had kept his mouth shut maybe we'd be safe. ] So Discussions. First off. Am I wrong or if you call Kenny out on his sulking does Clem refer to Lee as either a "Loved one" or "Someone I loved" and I don't mean that in a dirty way. {i have a comment about Sarah coming up for that] I meant if she did say that and i'm not remembering it wrong it seems to finally admit Clementine saw Lee as a father figure. Now for my possible dirty comment. If you choose to save Sarah by slapping her when Clem gives her back her glasses on the roof of the trailer I could have sworn she gave this "I liked that" grin to Clementine feel free to screengrab and analyze it for yourself. It could have been a glare I dunno. As for Jane. I really liked her character development up until I realized she was basically The Save Game 2 of Molly. {I.E. how you might play Clem as totally nice and totally ruthless in diffferent saves in one save Mollys sister gives up and Molly has sex for fun instead of meds and thus becomes Jane. It makes sense if you think about it.

Predictions: Keeping the Baby alive as Clem is going to be a challenge. In the end I think assuming they make it Clementine is going to find Christa in Wellington {and possibly any survivors that didnt join Tavia in 400 days and thus werent in carvers compound] Christa taking the surrogate baby to replace her own. I dont think anyone except possibly Arvo will survive the slaughter. We may meet up with Lily or Jane again but knowing TTG if we do meet up with Jane or Molly or Lily or any character we might like it will end poorly. Almost makes me wish they'd hurry up with GoT at least i have no knowlledge and thus cant get attatched. I expect getting to Wellington is going to be much like the ending of "The Longest Walk" Where Clementine is exhausted dehydrated starving and is probably on her last legs. Depending if TTG plans on making season 3 and/or with a new protagonist they may pay homage to Night of the Living Dead and have Clem get killed because the survivors that find her think she's a walker. "Hey this ones got a baby on it." "Carl I don't think She was a Walker...." sort of thing. Other then that I cant really think of predictions because i'm almost positive it's going to be Clem and the Baby and noone else and usually my predictions revolve around other characters. So I guess "naming the baby" is the only other thing i can predict.

What do you think and/or predict?

  • whatever happens it will be great .... oh and don't forget extremely emotional

  • I hope everyone besides Clem and the baby get killed in the shootout because Besides Clem Sarah and Jane were my favorite characters and theyre gone.

    Also has anyone left Sarah in the trailer? There is something profoundly horrible how that goes down especially if Clem says "Close Your Eyes" it reminds me of "Look at the flowers" from the show.

  • I have; Clem's quoting Carlos when she tells Sarah to close her eyes. :(

  • You didn't make exceptionally poor choices, everyone ended up in the same place as you are right now, with the same characters regardless of their choices, just saying.

  • I didnt know if there was some way to save people like if I let rebecca rest and took the pills to give to her she'd not die or something. By my second playthrough I figured Sarah was going to die anyway and it was exactly like Ben. You leave benrah to die or you save him and s/he getws taken out by a falling balcony and debris. Only difference was Jane didnt spare a bullet. Jane pulled a Molly. Stealing the meds can even net Clem a dialogue with luke "Sometimes you have to do bad things to survive." So it does mirror episode 1. But I thought maybe there were options like not cutting off Sarita's hand or going easy on rebecca or actually catching the racoon which might make the leadup to the ending less heartbreakingly depressing even if everyone is going to die except Clem and the baby. Well at least i'm not in this boat because of lacke of foresight. I thought if Sarah was gone in the trailer someone else might fall with Jane but nope. God what a painful episode.

  • It seems Clementine doesnt just get up once shes out either. Like if she stayed behind to watch Carver die it looks to me like Clem is forcing herself to watch Sarah's death in all it's horror to remind herself of her inability to save her. I feel if Arvo survives with Clem there's going to be 4 unique ways to handle him. The Kenny way aka pummeling. The ShaJane aka shooting him and leaving his screams to attract Walkers. The Rick aka shooting him in the head without any emotion, Or the leaving him alone among his now walker comrades so he cant shoot Clem in the back A ridiculouse option would be the Bonnie aka taking him with Clem out of pity or sympathy..

  • I also predict Clementine is going to ened up pulling a Michonne with a couple of Cow Catchers now that she knows the trick. Assuming the whole Walkers arent dangerous in the cold thing isnt a major issue. Also predict indoor Walkers will be a threat that someone probably Clem underestimates.

  • Was Luke Jane and Clementine at the trailer or Everyone else at the deck out of guns/ammo to keep Sarah from suffering? I am reminded of a scene from Starship Troopers where the sniper shoots a captured soldier to spare him from a horrible death. I mean yes it's big of Clem to force herself to watch Sarah die if you leave her behind carrying that burden inside. But still it'd be more merciful to just shoot her since it wasn't exactly going to draw more Walkers then it already was. Unless of course there was no way for them to do that. Jane could have used her one quick stab trick to put sarah out of her misery unless she did that and my brain is refusing to let me remember it. Either way.

  • Fucking hell! That episode well lets start with my predictions i dont really need to scroll check to see which are wrong because THEY ALL WERE but ill do it point by point.

    Clem didn't find Christa
    Clem didn't find Wellington
    EVERYONE survived the slaughter except Rebecca but we knew that AND ARVO.
    Oh I was right we did meet up with Jane {I AM SO FRIGGIN HAPPY FOR THIS MY FAVORITE DAMN CHARACTER AFTER CLEM}
    We didnt get to wellington.
    We didnt name the baby Kenny did.
    Clemchonne never happened ...yet.

    I got the golden ending in my opinion. Clementine has Howes now. And can start her own Carverlike settlement. Which will make Season 3 a whole new level when an entire settlement of people are relying on you to choose whats most important food or defenses. kill folks and steal there stuff or have them join the settlement. I do hope we get to lay down ground rules for our new colony. And if we make it a few years down the road we'll have to juggle Clem's social life too.

    In Conclusion. I never knew the K.I.Q.C.S. were based in Howes.
