Ideas for protagonists for Season 3

  • Well, the point is that you bought it knowing that Clementine was the main character. You didn't even wait for a sale, knowing that Clementine was the main character and were already pissed off.

So, why is TTG supposed to take you seriously if you were pissed off about the game before you bought it and yet paid full price soon after it came out, anyway?

At least the people complaining about episode 4 didn't expect the game to disappoint them before they bought it.

I'm pretty sure the season pass is 25.. Oh and people are disliking me for my opinion. Pretty immature.

  • Ok, then nevermind.

Oh! I think I might've heard of her on another thread. But nah XD definitely not me. I'm all the for Luke and Clem being family like sibling

  • Don't say "we". You don't speak for everybody. Everybody has their own opinions.

we just want Clementine no one else

  • That's what I've been thinking but I think now just having Clem as the protagonist will be good because IDK if it'll work.

I disagree. I want Clem to continue as the protagonist, but what if they changed things up a bit? Think of how it would change the gameplay.

  • Your idea of Multiplayer is different from mine's. This is cooperative puzzle solving and dialogue participation. Multiplayer isn't just used for shooting at other people

Multiplayer in a game like this. Bad combo.

  • I know what you meant by multiplayer for this game. I know its not only shoot em up kind of style. Its just that with Telltale's type of game engine, I don't see them being able to properly implement a good cooperative gameplay style in this type of game. Its a point and click game dude. This isn't Portal. There are some things that just wouldn't work. Not everything needs multiplayer.

  • I want to play as Kenny but I want Clementine to still play a big role in the game. I also want how you acted as Clementine in Season 2 effect how she acts/responds to other people.

  • I did. I enjoyed the game, and look forward to No Turning Back. But in the 3 season I'd like to play someone else.

You know there's hundreds of games where you play as a middle aged man, right? I think you can handle playing as a girl for once, suck it up.

  • I'm hoping to play as Kenny next.

  • I think having a 12 or 13 year old Clem could work.

  • Could see a grown Clem as the leader of a community having to make decisions to help her community survive. Such as how to deal with bandits, determining strengths and weaknesses of players in order decide what jobs they are most capable of. The better you are at making choices the higher number of your community lives or dies and whether or not people want to stay or go.

That's what the dislike button is their for, and opinions can be disliked, you know?

EDIT: And yeah, as has already been stated, why would you buy the fucking game if you knew you didn't like Clem being the playable character?

  • The Game is telling the story of a little girl in the the ZA.If someone needs to play as an zombislaying middleaged "Rambo" man, there are a lot of other games like Dead Island of Survival Instinct. Playing as Clementine is the special thing which I love at this game. Thats my opinion.

    CLEM FTW!!!

  • I just want to play as Clem in Season 3, No one Else. Just Clementine.

If they make it to Wellington, I could see them doing something similar to the first season. Clementine could be an adult now (19-20 years old) and the baby is around Clem's age in Season 1 (8-9 years old). Clementine is now a well-connected member of the "Safe-Zone", and is close with many of the members there. An outside group that they've had a bad relationship with attacks one day and nearly destroys the whole place. Forced to flee, Clementine and the kid are thrown into the outside world again, eventually meeting some of the members of Wellington, and there's your group for Season 3.

This is considering they make it to Wellington and Wellington is actually as safe as everyone says. To make it a little less like Season 1, the kid could be older, maybe around 15, and Clementine could be in her mid to late 20s, this would allow the kid to have more of an opinion and be less of a cute little kid like Clementine was (not that that's bad, but maybe we don't need that same scenario again). If the kid was this age, it would also allow Clem and him to have more differing opinions (maybe ones that you don't want to immediately agree with like in Season 1), and the kid would get angry with her a lot more. For example, unlike in Season 1 where you want to do everything you can to protect Clem, this time around when you try protecting the kid at every turn, he'll get mad and ask you to stop protecting him like a baby.

EDIT: I also really like Kenny's Beard's idea:

Could see a grown Clem as the leader of a community having to make decisions to help her community survive. Such as how to deal with bandits, determining strengths and weaknesses of players in order decide what jobs they are most capable of. The better you are at making choices the higher number of your community lives or dies and whether or not people want to stay or go.

It would be kind of like the new volume of the comics, and I know a lot of people may say that's boring, but I like it in the comics and I'll be interested in it if it's in Season 3. I'd just like to see an adult Clementine, especially in a leadership role.

  • Team Clementine!!

They could bump her age up 2 years so she's a teenager. That's about equal to the comics timeline, I believe. But yeah, I want Clem to stay, I think it'd be cool.

  • YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

...seriously though, if we're not playing as Clem in S3, I don't know of any other pre-established character (besides maybe Luke) who could take the lead.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

  • Christa? S3 EP 2 she bumps into Clem, who is influenced by all the choices done in S2, both go together to Boatington or whatever.
And Christa wont be like Lee, instead of protecting Clem she will talk and accept her as an adult.

  • Troys dick.I'm just joking.a new character would do nicely.Clem can appear later in the game like episode 2.

  • The thing I think everyone needs to keep in mind when everyone keeps saying they want to see an adult Clementine is.. it's the ZA. The human race is dying off very rapidly.. so who knows how many humans are still going to be alive in 20 or 30 years when Clementine would be an adult, if the human race would still even be present.

Because it's the TWDG. I wanted to play it. Why else would i buy the game? Seriously, why else? Oh and also it's my fucking money.

  • No more Clementine pls. No more anyone from the first two seasons. All original cast in a new area would be hot. I love Lee and Clem and Kenny to death, but it's time to start something new

  • I still wanted to play it. I couldn't resist. After seeing the screenshots, it actually looked good. The only thing i didn't like was the main character, but it didn't it bother me that much at the time.

Well, the point is that you bought it knowing that Clementine was the main character. You didn't even wait for a sale, knowing that Clementi

  • There are actually many other reasons to buy the game rather than "Because it's the TWDG." Like, for example, "Because the new story looks intriguing", or "Because I'd really like to see what new characters we run into, and what happens to my old favorites". Also, okay it's your money, I don't fucking care, do whatever you want with it, I simply asked why you would buy the game if you didn't like what you were seeing. You gave me your reason though, so thank you.

Because it's the TWDG. I wanted to play it. Why else would i buy the game? Seriously, why else? Oh and also it's my fucking money.

  • I'd be interested in playing as a 13 year old Clementine if Season 3 has another time jump.

  • We could be a new character that runs into Clem.

  • Clem and Jaime.

  • I personally don't care for anyone in the group currently anymore other than Mike and Clem. But I don't wanna play as Clem again in Season 3. I agree with the idea of an original cast for Season 3. I want a whole new group and a whole new character to play as. Maybe be a guy who is suffering from amnesia and throughout the season you figure out bits of your memory. Have something like that be one of your choices, choose your own back story for that character as the season goes along.

  • I want Season 3 to have multiple protagonists, in the style of 400 days.
There was multiple points in season 1 and 2 where I was hoping we shifted characters to someone else through it.
For example. I was expected "Starved For Help" to shift us to Clementine when we helped her through the vent, to switch to an intense, sneaky "rescue your friends" segment before becoming Lee again.

I was also expecting Episode 4 to switch us to Bonnie or Jane, with Clementine resting at the ruins, depending on who you visted first.

  • then don't play it but i want clementine to be protagonist and so do a lot of people because they put a lot of development in clementine

Brand new character. When i found Clem was the protagonist for S2, i was pissed off and i don't want S3 to disappoint as well. Get someone interesting and i cannot stand another season of playing as a child.

  • I don't know why everyone is bashing on Clementine right now. I really like playing her, it's awesome. I like seeing her development. I just want it done better with some new additions to the gameplay. Making her at the center of attention everytime a big decision comes up isn't the best course of action, but if you could play two characters (Clem and Mike for example during one segment) it could bring a range of change to the people who believe this is just a QTE game

Maybe if Rebecca's baby survives, he'll be the protagonist of Season 3? Or maybe the protagonist will be someone who is a partner with Lilly?

It would be cool for Clementine to take the lead again, though.

  • No offence but he was talking to WalkingDeadFan1911 :P
