S2E5 Lee sequence? slight Ep4 spoilers

I know that a lot of us have been hoping for a dream type sequence this season in which we get to see Dave Fenoy return as Lee and interacting with an older Clementine. Whether he is just supporting her or giving her advice and encouragement, Episode 5 is obviously the last chance that they will get to include this.

Based on the little we know of this episode, how could this happen? Maybe right at the start of the episode it opens to a dream and Clementine has been shot by the Russians, or perhaps Luke shoved her out of the way and she was knocked unconscious. This way the episode would open with Lee talking to Clem and encouraging her to get up.

Truthfully, besides some interactions with Kenny in Episode 2, I have felt this season has really lacked in the feels department, so what can get that running more than anything for all of us? Lee and Clementine together. The scene could even have a very tragic edge to it where similar to Lees dream in episode 3 Season 1, it ends with Clem either bring attacked by a zombie Lee or seeing his dead body depending on your choice in Season 1. The heartbreak of her waking up, injured and amid blood and bodies with Lee still gone would be devastating.

What does everyone think? Does Lee need to come back to Clem in this episode in a dream or delirious state? How can it happen?

I would like to see Lee come back in a nightmare...

  • I would like to see Lee come back in a dream...

  • Lee could come back in a dream.
    In Season 3.
If Clem lives and is protag again.

  • I'd love to see Lee in a Dream.

  • It'd be cool to see him appear or voiceover in an epilogue

  • Guys if you haven't watched this, do it:

It's awesome and exactly what I want to be said in a Lee sequence.

  • If doesn't even have to be new lines from Lee. At this point I'd be happy with anything and S1 is chock full with loads of amazing and heartfelt quotes that Lee said to Clem—they don't even have to bring the voice actor back! C'mn Telltale, this will be easy for you!

I can easily imagine Clem getting hurt in the gunfight at the start, the screen is gradually going black and we assume she is going to faint, but then we hear Lee.

    "Don't be afraid, sweet pea."

    [TAP A]

    "You're strong, Clem......"

    [CONTINUE TAPPING A]

    "....you can do anything."

    ...And gradually Clem stands back up. ;_;

  • I agree. :)

  • Is that from the game files or could it be the trailer?

  • Now, that would be awesome

  • Dream Lee should be the one judging the choices you've made.

Lee: That isn't the sweat pea I remember.

    It would murder my soul.

  • Choking on my own feels

It would be amazing if they did such scene. A fantastic reference to S1.

(But if they are to make a scene like that, it should be non-interactive. Mashing the key would kind of ruin the feeling for me)

I just want Lee back. When he gets here, we should go back to the motel. We're safe there.

  • It'd be interesting in a dream sequence if he was speaking to Clem and then at some point he just snapped to walker Lee/corpse Lee depending on whether you left or killed him, turning it from a dream to a nightmare.

  • I'd like a Lee hallucination.

    I know, I'm dark.

  • I'd be disappointed if there wasn't a Lee dream sequence or hallucination in Episode 5. I mean truthfully it's the perfect opportunity because most likely Clementine will be freezing and hallucinating anyway. I'm actually hoping she hallucinates Lee and even in death, he saves her and pushes her forward to Wellington or wherever. I'd actually cry if that happened.

  • Sure.

  • If there was to be a Lee sequence, I'd rather it be a flashback. So we get to see something that we never saw in Season 1, say of the group's time at the Motor Inn and you as Clementine are talking to Lee about something that ends up playing into the plot of the final episode.

  • Telltale, make that happen, not for us, but for the respect for Lee's and Clem's character. Come telltale, make the feels!

  • I've wanted a DLC of what happened in between Episode One and Two of season one for ages but that'll never happen :(

  • I dunno...

Dream sequences could easily be messed up....

If they do it, then they have to do it right, son.

  • Wow you just broke my heart.

  • I want Clementine to be in a near death experience and she sees Lee calling to her. Kind of like in Batman Arkham City when Batman was close to death and he sees his parents.

  • It'd be awesome if they had a dream where everything is great and there's no zombies and they're hanging out and then it turns out to be a dream and nothing has changed.

  • Maybe she could hug him and when she steps back he could be a walker or have a hole through his head depending on what you did at the end of season 1.

I hope Clem dreams of Lee. I just want it. It'll be a sad moment and a great memory from S1. Just what is needed for Episode 5.

Nick Breckon, I hope you remembered to do this!

  • (?) Nick Breckon will remember that.
