The city in the ep5 thumbnail?

Honestly guys I don't think the city is Wellington it just doesn't seem like it would take one episode to get to Michigan I honestly I think it's the place they were going at the end of ep4 what do yall think :)

Comments

  • I think it's wellington, they've been setting it up since episode 1 so it wouldn't make sense to be anything else :P

  • Yea how could they get there in one episode I would hate to have a big time skip

  • I agree. It's probably the town they were going to. From there I think what's left of the group will find shelter and make a plan from there.

  • They're not making it without a time skip they're in Tennessee and Wellington is in Ohio so I don't think that it's Wellington

Well, Wellington, Ohio (near the border of Michigan and right near Lake Erie) is a very small village in real life. Population of less than 5,000 residents from what I remember.

The artwork for Episode 5 looks like a rather large city with skyscrapers. So unless it's completely misleading artwork (hi, Amid the Ruins) then I don't think they're going to end up in Wellington.

    Early Season 3 goal, perhaps?

  • One of the achievements, "We Slowly Drove", implies a time-skip involving a car ride. So I believe we'll see Wellington by the end.

  • I think they only get to Wellington at the very end of the episode.

  • I hope it is Wellington and not just the city across the river with the church.

  • Thumnails are often not a good tell on anything, they were made ages ago.

  • I think ep5s thumbnail is realistic

The "We Slowly Drove" achievement could mean its very likely they make it to at least the outskirts of Wellington by the end of the episode.. I'm just pointing out either way... I don't think the city in the thumbnail is Wellington just based on the real world Wellington, if that makes sense :)

  • And it's just good story-telling to provide a payoff for a goal that's been established ever since the second scene in this season - Wellington, a beacon of hope. Wellington, a haven with a road paved with blood and misery and treachery.

  • Could also potentially lead to a huge cliffhanger for Season 3. Clem, out in the cold, possibly alone sees a barricaded Wellington in the distance (calling back her seeing Omid and Christa at the end of S1) when cut to black?

    Just a thought.

  • The artwork is the most misleading yet, for sure. I remember playing Season 2 for the first time, looking at it and getting the feeling of some really dark stuff happening. And/or possibly a war between groups. The thumbnail is almost completely irrelevant lol!

  • of course it's a fake ass picture again.... -_- telltale like to trick us... just like in episode 4 cover that we thought the other Characters in season 1 DLC 400 days will appear but no.. the fucking Russians will appear.... just don't trust the Godamn cover that's my advice.. we'll just wait for the episode 5 to release

  • except for the episode 1's cover

Ok i need to look at a fucking map cuz im sure they gave up that they were in Virginia, according to the mao luke had.

Ok i looked at the map and Virginia is bordered with Tenn., that's my bad i don't really know where those lower Eastern states are really located. And one more question????when the hell did they get out of Virginia? ??

It's Wellington, Ohio. Kenny says "up near Michigan". "Near", instead of "in" is the keyword. Immediately after Nick says "Michigan?!" and Kenny says "yeah Michigan". Which I think is where people easily get confused that Wellington is in Michigan.

Wellington, Ohio is near the border of Michigan -- less than a 2 hour drive :)

There's a Wellington Township in Michigan, but it's more towards the upper peninsula, certainly not near the Ohio/Michigan border.

Oh and it's just as boring here in Michigan as it is in Ohio, trust me :P

  • Judging from the skyscrapers, maybe a big city? Chicago or Indianapolis, maybe?

  • Yeah, I can second that. Michigan is nothing but lakes and ghetto people, at least around where I live.

And Eddie is among her group of friends? To be fair I said "almost". I can see where you're going with it, but it did feel like they were hinting at something that didn't happen.

  • It would be crazy if there was twist and Clem doesn't end up in Wellington, but someplace worse.

  • Wellington leader:

    Welcome to Wellington.

  • First time poster but I just had to comment. It looks a lot like Indianapolis to be honest.

    The resemblance is really striking, barring some minor differences I would bet it is Indianapolis. Also consider this map which was posted elsewhere;

If you take what this map says as true, and the group was driving and following a major highway they could conceivably end up passing through Indianapolis.
