He tries to take the situation with calm and light-hearted actions but if all else fails he seems to resort to a violent state where he overreacts and at times does things he regrets. This may have to do with his harsh upbringings in the Trashy Neighborhoods of New York City. Where his only escape was to excel in School even though he hated it but he was pushed by his parents to make something of himself. While relatively successful in his previous life ($80k a Year, Girlfriend, Friends, etc.) he knew that wasn't what they meant. And so this Apocalypse finally gives him the chance to do right by his parents even if his Guilt consumes him...

More than once he even broke the law in order to get a confession out of someone or to gather vital evidence. That brought him into serious trouble with his superiors more than once. The scar on his cheek is from a bar fight, in which he saved a mans life. He was married once, but that didn't last, mostly due to his cold nature and cynical comments.

Personality: Jacob is mentally handicapped and child like in many ways. He is always openly friendly to anyone he meets, extremely polite, and very inquisitive in his own way. Jacob while he faces many challenges, is a mechanical savant, small engines, older model cars (anything before computer chips and such) if it ain't running he can make it run. Because of the way that Jacob looks at the world, very simplistically he is sometimes capable of some remarkable insights, ie. how he has survived thus far. In Jacobs mind, the best way to keep from being eaten by the monsters is to look and act like them, he figured out the camouflage trick of covering himself in zombie gore and learned to hide in plain sight so to speak. Jacob thinks the zombies are monsters and doesn't comprehend that they were once human. Jacob lived alone all his life with his elderly mother, she is not with him now, and he will not speak about what happened to her. In a life or death situation, Jacob might act in one of two ways, if alone he would attempt to hide, if with people it would depend on them and how they treated him. For people that he deemed were bad, he probably would attempt to hide or escape ( bad people get what bad people deserve); but for people that treated him with kindness and compassion he might rush into the most dangerous of situations heedless of his own safety (good people get what good people deserve). Jacob travels with a back pack of tools and a game of Shoots and Ladders (his favorite game in the world). Jacob at his core is probably one of the kindest gentlest souls a person could ever meet. Jacob is prone to nightmares, is not afraid of, but doesn't like the dark. He often cries himself back to sleep after a nightmare, and refuses to speak about his nightmares (it very likely that his nightmares are about what happened to his mother and what he may have had to do) It would take a very special person or situation to pry Jacob's story out of him.

absolutely fine withg Georgia, i was raised there. this character is loosely based on someone that lived next door to my grandparents when i was a child. he lived in Georgia all his life. Yep Georgia is fitting.
