"Kindly Stop..."

I'm interested by the penultimate achievement for Episode 5. The image shows a rusty rest area sign which is frayed and covered with white holes, which means two things:

1: The sign's been riddled with bullets
2: The snow is swallowing up everything

Personally, I feel that this indicates that Clementine will reach a rest stop right outside the edge of Wellington. The bullet-holes seem to point at the presence of hostile survivors wielding guns. Perhaps there'll even be a vicious shootout between her and bandits at this rest stop. In any case, I think that the climax of the episode will occur here and Clementine will have her most impressive action-heroine moment at this rest stop.

Imagine Clementine being the only one left to protect her crippled group, taking on an entire band of heavily-armed marauders on her own just like Ellie from The Last Of Us. Imagine her and Kenny/Luke taking on a dozen bandits and a horde of zombies in the midst of a violent blizzard. I believe the music heard in this teaser will be used for this epic final battle:

  • TBH I think the music is gonna be used in the trailer

  • I feel the trailer might be a slower, more melancholic affair than the intense scene which that song seems to be applied to. Not sure yet.

But I just wanted to bring up the idea of Clementine proving herself as a protector by single-handedly winning a gunfight against bandits. She may have been caught unawares during the massacre with Arvo's group, but this time she manages to save her people from hostile human beings. I imagine that Clementine choosing to directly kill human beings for survival will be the climactic point of her character arc this season - all previous incidents, including her determinant killing of the Stranger, weren't necessarily intended murders.

  • Kindly Stop For Me, makes me think that Clementine might meet new people who will appear in Season 3.

  • For me the playground wasn't of any significance, I think the group will just walk by in passing. I think it was just to set the scene for the bizarre weather conditions the group will have to go through.

  • Other than driving home that Clem's childhood is frozen and dead. I do think that the final portion of the game will be set in a violent blizzard.

But just imagine Clementine fighting off bandits and zombies alike in the middle of a blinding snow-storm.
