Do Walker Scratches Infect?

I have been wondering this for a long time. Multiple instances have suggested that walker scratches DO NOT infect in this ZA world, such as when Kenny is defending Duck after he is bit, when Jane makes the cowcatcher but leaves the arms, and when Mike and the others got dangerously close to the gate when Rebecca is giving birth. But I am not sure.

    You could probably still get infected because imagine how dirty their fingers would be. Although it's probably the more dangerous diseases that are passed on in a bite.

    I THINK the walker scratches infect people at the show..Im not sure tho

    Yeah scratches infect on the show, that is evident when Dale dies.

    Or maybe he was gonna die from the walker, but it didn't infect. Hmmmm.

    I suppose it would depend if there was blood on their hands...(that can be taken in two different ways)

    They do in the TV series, I'm not sure about the comics (and therefore the game).

    Yeah but on the show, Dale is shot in the head before he turns. Also saying that Dale was scratched is putting it lightly - he pretty much had his intestines ripped out by a zombie.
    AFAIK there isn't a person who died by a zombie scratch on screen on the show, but they did say that scratches do turn you into a walker..
