I do kind of wish they hadn't made Nick determinant back in episode 2. He really could have done all the things that Mike does in episodes 3 & 4 and the plot wouldn't have changed at all. As likeable as Mike is, this does kind of make him pointless, at least regarding to the overall storyline, especially if he dies in the shootout.
I really like Mike, truly, I do.
But I would trade him for Nick any day.

I wish telltale overall would have more of a vision with their characters besides Clementine and repeating Kenny's character arc. Both Nick and Sarah could have filled roles, even if determinant, in season 3. ´
Walking Dead is supposed to be about characters, which fals really flat when everyone dies like they do.
I'm usually fine with character death, but Telltale seem to use it so much that it just loses its impact, especially on off-screen deaths that are just waved off.
Nick:
Found in a fence apparently after running for help. Not mentioned after Rebecca is told about him.
Chuck:
Saves Clementine and stays behind to give the rest of the group time to escape. Later found in a sewer eaten and shot.
The difference, i think, is not Chucks sacrifice but that he died after a situation where we almost expected it. Nick just kinda turns up dead at random after events that happened off-screen.
I'm not sure where I saw it, but forgive the person who caused the death of your friend, possibly saving his life rather than let him die is a classic, I liked this scene. I'm pretty sure that happened already in action movies .
His first death wasn't pointless. Story-wise, I think it actually made more sense for Walter to leave him to die than to save him. Maybe if he survived episode 2, it would have been him, and then if he died, then Mike would have been there.

It's just quite annoying to me personally, seeing this in so many of the threads I enter. But that's just me. TellTale has never revived a confirmed dead character and they won't start anytime soon, unless in a DLC or flashback.
I think what hes trying to do is have them have a patch/dlc where Nick always survives ep2, has more lines in 3, and appears in 4 and 5. Not just bring him back from the dead

Some weird coincidences between the Season 2 deaths are that a lot of the related characters die the same/similar ways:
Oddly enough, we could assume that Kenny would die after being bitten, like Sarita (and Duck) did.
I guess that was kind of a bad idea in hindsight, right? XD
Yeah! Fuck me for having an opinion

He was quoting Nick, I think.

I blame Ben.
You are totally right.
Everyone who had Nick die in Episode 2 is looking at all these 'Nick' threads and wondering what all the fuss is about.

There is a video for episode 5 too.

180 supporters!!!
Thank you. I'm really tired of people comparing the two as if it's valid. Maybe Chuck deserved better but Nick got completely screwed over.
COME ON GUYS, WE NEED 12 SUPPORTERS LEFT! WE'RE ALMOST TO 200! JUST NEED MORE SUPPORTERS!!!!

Oh man, this video keeps reminding me how FUCKING POINTLESS Mike was as a character.
Please stop. It's not going to happen. We gave it a fun go.
There's always the slim chance bruh, let people try

That's still extremely complicated.
I just like to think theres always a slim chance, stay positive
but yeah it would be a lot of work, doesnt mean its impossibru
How dare you call Mike a pointless character, look at all the important things we know about him:
1) He likes eating racoon shit.
2) He... errrrrr.... yeah... I can't think of anything else...
