Was the baby supposed to be Christas?
I feel like the baby and hinting that Christa was pregnant in season 1 means that the baby was really supposed to be Christas, and Rebecca and Alvin were originally not a part of the game. But then Telltale decided they wanted Clementine to be older than just 9, so they did the time skip and got rid of Christa and introduced a new pregnant character. I feel like episode 5 will just be Clem and the baby, and this is what Telltale had in mind when they originally designed season 2. Thought?

Sound pretty logic. I often wondered what's the used of killing Christa's baby and then having a new baby...
It's strange how there's kind of a pattern.
Christa has a baby which is unsuccessful, Rebecca has a baby which is successful
Reggie lives from being bitten with his arm being chopped off, Sarita dies form being bitten and then getting her arm chopped off
Kenny lives getting his face mashed in, Carver dies getting his face mashed in.
